As soon as she tells us to, everyone finds their friends or social groups and soon everyone has a group. I’m with Zach, Kyle, Liam and Vanessa, another two friends of mine. “Times up! Now, you and your group have to go around the museum and find these specific paintings and sculptures that I assign your group.” As soon as she was finished, there was a symphony of sighs and groans, but Mrs.Jetson didn’t seem to notice when she was passing out the lists. “I would take out those headphones Mr.Newman, if you want to do well in my class” Mrs.Jetson says, as harshly as she can. Which is pretty brutal. “Oh, umm ok I’ll just, um-” “No need to apologize Kyle, your work will show how much you listened.” Mrs.Jetson says, handing Kyle our groups paper “What happened Kyle, I have never seen you at a loss for words. Normally, you always know what to say to shut people up. Even the teachers.” I say, running this strange anomaly that is Kyle not knowing what to say over in my head. “I don’t know. I really have no idea.” Kyle says baffled as well. “We should probably head that direction if we want to get a lead on the ‘smart than thou’ group over there.” Zach says pointing to the direction where I saw the shiny unknown object. I really have to come up with a better name for that. Like S.U.O or something. Anyway, as we were walking to our first object, I noticed something else that was quite strange. there was a whole wall that had nothing on it. Not even a trace that there was ever anything on it or ever will be. “Huh.” I said “Isn’t that weird.” “Yea, and the map says that our first item should be here.” Vanessa says, looking a bit worried. “Something’s not right here.” Kyle whispers to all of us. I have to admit, with the random shiny object and ‘disappearing’ walls of paintings, I too was getting the impression that something wasn’t quite right with the situation we were in. But apparently Zach wasn’t. “Don’t jump to conclusions Kyle, There are plenty of reasons why this wall could be empty. they could be painting it, or they moved the paintings somewhere else, someone could have bought them, there even could have been no paintings here in the first place. Did you think about that?” Zach said. Even though he had a point, there was no way any of those reasons were true. Especially the painting one. I mean, there was no sign saying ‘Do Not Touch’ or something like that. There was just a plain light blue wall with lights pointing towards the vacant space. Which ruled out, like all of the other reasons. There was an idea brewing inside my brain, but I didn’t want to say it. I was too absurd. Apparently thought, Kyle didn’t think it was, as we both had the same idea. “Some could have stolen it, and the security officers could have just had the same idea Zach had, and not given it another thought.” “He has a point, but that security officer thing doesn’t add up. The security here is top notch, so I wouldn’t go that far,” I say, and Vanessa nods, saying “Thank you, finally someone who has some common sense.” “Excuse me? What did you say? Only on that has common sense? I think you are forgetting someone that goes by the name of Liam the Magnificent.” As he says this, he stands in a superhero stance. “Oh shut it Liam” Zach says jokingly. “You haven’t even contributed to this conversation.” “I’ve contributed to this conversation now, haven’t I?” Liam says “Oh and by the way, I’m presuming you guys didn’t notice the three C.I.A looking guys that have been watching us since we’ve been standing here for a good ten minutes.” And it turns out, he’s right.
