3rd Person
Dan is about as comfortable as he can be, huddled underneath layers and layers of heavy blankets, he never wants to leave. His prom dress is hanging on his closet door and hes just staring at it, wishing desperately that it would make him put it on. But that doesnt happen. Obviously.
Adriana keeps coming in and telling him the countdown to prom, because she still thinks he's going. She's naive if she thinks he's going without someone. Even if he did have a date he would probably cancel, he doesn't want to face the people who made his life hell for the past week.
He rolls over and faces his window instead of the door, he sighs as he sees birds fly by and his heart aches.
God I wish I were that free
Was the only thought in his mind. He saw the tree branches dancing in the wind and his eyes start to water. He hasnt danced since the day he did for Phil. Everytime he goes to, his legs just dont cooperate. It's like they know he's missing something, he cant even do what he loves without the thought of Phil running through his mind. What's wrong with him? Why is this man affecting him so much? Why can he get Phil's icy blue eyes out of him mind? He closes his own mud brown eyes, and all he sees is Phils silhouette.
His heart skips a beat and his breath comes out jagged as he thinks of the boy, stupid Phil.
The door creaks open again and his eyes open slowly when he feels someone staring at him, he's greeted with Adriana's hot pink sweater.
"Go away, Adri. I'm not going," he mutters and brings the array of blankets over his face. Tears fall again, when it actually sets in that his dream isnt going to come true. His heart aches even more and the tears fall quicker. Even when the blankets get pulled away from his face, by his little sister.
"Danny...you should go. You bought the dress," she whispers, "you'll only regret it if you dont."
I already regret many things, why not add this to the list?
He rolls onto his back and covers his chest again with the blankets, "no. I'm not going," he says trying to sound confident, but he fails.
Adriana sighs from beside him and he closes his eyes, "okay. Fine. If I cant convince I know who can," she mutters and walks away.
"Louise isnt talking to me, you cant call her!" Dan says raising his voice from a whisper.
Adriana shakes her head, causing her mess of curls swing from side to side as she stomps out of his room.
Dan rolls over to face the dress again and is met with a heavy feeling behind his eyes. He slowly closes his eyes and let's the feeling take over him, and sleeps.

Phil is rushing around his room, pulling random things from their positions and shoving them into his duffel bags. He's working so quickly he cant even take in what hes putting in the bags.
Clothes, pictures, his helmet. They're all going in the bags. Once he finishes he zips them both as quietly as he can and walks over to his bedroom window, opens it, then throws both bags to the ground below the window.
Once he shuts the window and locks it again he glances at his phone, 7:45. Prom starts in 2 hours.
Hes about to put the phone away when he sees 'Adri' light up his screen. He swipes his thumb across the screen.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Hes not budging. I'm scared he isnt gonna go." Her voice wavers on the other side.
