Kageyama lead the princess to the castle's garden. Roses, daisies, tulips, and many more flowers bloomed colorfully wherever they could. Honeybees were busy at work pollenating the hundreds of blossoms. Hedges mazed the garden and apple trees shaded the ground below from the beating hot summer sun. The bird chirped their songs and the grass was long and soothing to lay in. The breeze filtered through the leaves and took the loose ones along with it. It was Kageyama's favorite place to relax. The garden was a good getaway when royal tasks were becoming overwhelming and a break was needed.

Kageyama's walk with Yachi had been very quiet and uncomfortable, overall anything but natural. Kageyama was awkward and Yachi was very shy. It was a combo they struggled to work with. They were supposed to spend their lives together and rule the lands, yet they struggled to even say a word to each other. Kageyama was never very good with striking a conversation. His father would scold him and tell him a real king will need to be demanding and strong, but it was always a weak spot for the prince. Luckily for Kageyama, Yachi broke the silence for him.

"So, what do you like to do when you have a chance to breathe?" She asked. The princess looked up at her partner with a nervous smile. She was worried that Kageyama may not be interested and could possiby be bored with her presence.

"Well, I like archery. I spend a lot of time doing that. I also like to play the violin I suppose. My options are quite limited." He responded, looking down at the short princess. Kageyama was an incredible archer, practicing since he was old enough to hold a bow. He loved feeling the arrow between his fingers one second, and watching the arrow rip through the air the next. His mother had taught him everything he needed to know about archery. She was the best he had ever seen and he aspired to be just as good as her.

When Kageyama was eight, his mother suddenly got very sick. She was bed ridden for weeks, too weak to stand and do much on her own. Kageyama would sit by her side as much as he could, as she was his everything. Her illness was hard to determine and her fate was unpredictable. She was beginning to slowly heal, but her life unexpectedly came to an end. It was a shock to everyone, especially Kageyama, who thought she was invincible and the most powerful person there was. The doctor claimed she was sick for too long that her body became so tired and weak, it could no longer fight. It was a dark time for those in Serenity.

After she died, his father had to raise Kageyama only on his terms. Every evening, they would be in the music room. He taught Kageyama how to play the violin. When the prince would struggle, his father would become frustrated and tell him that he needs to practice more and put all of his effort into it like a real king would. Eventually, he became good enough to his father's standards. Every year, they would hold a festival of life for his mother, who was loved by all at Serenity. Kageyama would perform a song on the violin in memory of her. It was the same song every year, but that didn't make any difference emotionally. It did not stop anyone from being in tears or at least choking up by the end of his performance.

"I would like to do more in the future, but it seems my hands are already full. What do you like to do?" He asked. Yachi nodded her head in understanding and kneeled in the grass to look at the vibrant flowers.

"I like to paint. I always have. Whenever I get the chance, I have a brush in my hand. Something about it is very calming to me." She replied and put her small gentle hand underneath a tulip's blossom.

"I especially like painting flowers. They are so colorful and beautiful. Nothing like them. Sadly, where I come from there are more shrubs than anything." She added and stood up.

Kageyama smiled faintly and nodded. He bent down and carefully picked one of the tulips.

"Well, princess, I can say for certain you shall see many of your precious petals here." He said and handed Yachi the flower.
