Our fingers slipped and this chapter became 4000 words long 😂
Andy
"Andy, come on... Mikey's waiting for us," Jack groans playfully.
But I'm completely and utterly dumbfounded by the sight before me. Every few steps there's another doorway, some open and revealing beautiful little rooms. People - staff I assume - stroll past me with a wave, sometimes a little 'hello', and I don't really know how I'm supposed to respond. I give a smile in their direction, and that's about it; I'm far too shocked for anything else.
"This way," Jack laughs. He pulls me down to the right by the hand. There's a bright smile on his face.
"Sorry," I mutter, still examining each and every detail of the building.
"I just don't want you to be late," he tells me, taking me down another hall after looking at his phone.
"I'm never late Jack, I don't know what you're talking about,' I say, my eyes glued to the chandeliers overhead. As he pulls me along, they disappear from my line of sight and I let out a noise of complaint, and astonishment. .
"Jaaaaack!" I whine. "Didn't you see how pretty it was?"
"Yes, Andy, I did. But unlike you, I can multi-task apparently," he laughs.
"I can sing and play guitar - that counts!"
"If you say so," Jack sighs with a smile.
We continue down the maze of halls until we reach a room with my name on it. It's written in a fancy lettering and I can't help but become caught up in that as well. My name! My name is actually appearing somewhere... it never has before.
"Andy... are you okay? You look a little...sad,' Jack asks gently. I swallow the lump that formed in my throat and smile. My fingers trace the lettering.
"Yeah." My voice comes out soft. "I am."
"Okay," he says. He lets go of my hand finally, and I turn my gaze to him. "You realise Mikey's in there, right?"
The mention of him makes a small smile come to my face immediately. "Yeah." Jack's hand, which has been resting on the doorknob, twists it and slowly lets it open.
The door crawls open to reveal a dressing room of some kind, and I focus on Mikey, who's stood, waiting, with a huge grin. I rush over and slam myself against him, arms around his waist. He laughs and hugs me in return, pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"Hey there," he murmurs.
"Hey there yourself," I say, and I can't stop smiling. I step out of his arms, kiss his lips sweetly. I blush when I see the other person in the room.
"Oh, yeah, Andy, this is Brooklyn, best mate from work. Brook, this is Andy, my boyfriend," he introduces, swishes his hands back and forth awkwardly.
"Hi Brooklyn," I wave.
Brooklyn runs in for a hug. Normally, I would've cowered away, pushed myself away, but I let Brooklyn hug me tight, squeeze me and lift me up.
"Oh my God Brook he's not a toy!" Mikey shouts, but I'm laughing.
"He so is Mike! Look how small he is! Pocket-sized!" He says excitedly.
I scowl at Brooklyn, but it fades to a smile almost immediately when I see the sparkle in his eyes.
"I'm not pocket-sized," I say.
"Whatever mate, it's nice to finally meet you," he laughs, and we hug normally.
