Working for Gyro Gearloose seemed amazing... at first. I mean, living your dream of becoming and inventor and getting to assist on projects for THE Scrooge McDuck sounds like something many would wish for. Unfortunately, things aren't as pleasant as they seem.
The intern, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, as well as Manny the Headless Horse and Lil Bulb were great and all, heck, you could say they were your friends, but your boss was not so great. Gyro Gearloose... how could you describe him?
Annoying? Selfish? I mean yes, but that's not the word meant for him. The perfect word to describe someone like Gyro is obnoxious.
He didn't care what anyone had to say except for himself, and he certainly didn't care for any of his employees either, well... unless they did exactly what he said. You and Fenton got along very well, especially because Gyro disliked the two of you most and you both had a knack for doing things your own way, not someone else's.
When Fenton became Gizmoduck though, he saw him less and less, leaving you stuck with Gyro, especially when Manny and Lil Bulb went off to get supplies or dispose of unneeded materials.
Recently, your boss had even begun starting up conversations with you, which ended up awkward (especially for you). As weeks went by, you noticed Gyro continuously glance your way when you were working, or he'd be talking to a coworker and say, "I'm not sure if I should go for it...".
You figured he wanted to find a way to fire you, because he was never the fondest of you when you began working for him. Then it happened, he stopped you on your way out of the lab, saying he had something important to tell you.
"Sir? What is it?" You asked, preparing to lose your dreams and your job as soon as he opened his mouth.
"Well... how would you respond if I asked you out on a date?"
