Brooke came bouncing into the kitchen with her helmet hanging on her arm, she was like a child on christmas morning making everyone laugh, they had missed the buzz that always followed Brooke wherever she went.

Xavier took one look at Brooke, his smile grew wider and he could have sworn his heart had skipped a beat as he too in her outfit choice.

His shirt, leather look skinny jeans, black combat boots, braided hair and her black and white bike jacket. This was definitely the girl for him.

Jumping off the kitchen counter, Xavier winked at Brooke before he disappeared to get changed, only to return with his helmet and the key to Brooke's bike hanging off his finger.

No one knew if Brooke would ever remember her childhood, but that didn't stop them making new memories with her. Memories she would remember.

James watched as Brooke was giggling over something Xavier had said, whilst they were getting the bikes out of the garage.

He wanted nothing more than for his sisters memories to come back, for her to remember how close they were. His heart ached, he knew that Xavier and Brooke were destined to be together and he was grateful that she could feel herself around someone, but he wasn't going to lie and say it didn't hurt.

He felt the heavy hand of his father, land on his shoulder.

"Son don't beat yourself up over this" Craig smiled "It is hard for us all and in time she will trust us and things will be back to normal. Don't forget she has been through a lot so it is probably easier for her to gravitate to one person right now, we were a close family and we will get that back with time, you just have to be patient and let things happen naturally"

"I know pops" James sighed.

The moment Brooke straddled the bike, her heart felt content, yes she wasn't in control but it didn't matter because her bike was her happy place. It was the place she felt free.

She looked around to see everyone was on their bikes.

"What are we waiting for?" She shouted slamming the visor down on her helmet and wrapped her arms around Xavier's waist.

The feeling of the vibrations from the engine made her feel alive, Xavier slowly pulled off and picked up speed, the feeling of the wind battering Brooke's jacket made her grin.

Xavier was impressed by how the bike responded, he wouldn't admit this but he knew this would leave his Harley in the dust. It didn't take him long to give it full throttle, pushing the beast to the limits.

He was in his element, he had his girl behind him and every so often he heard the sound of Brooke's giggles over the sound of the engine.

As they arrived at the clearing, Xavier cut the engine, planting his feet on the ground he let Brooke climb off the bike, he watched as she took her helmet off.

Her eyes widened as she took in the beauty of this place. Spinning around she watched Xavier flip the kickstand down after he took his helmet off.

"I told you my bike was quicker than your Harley" Brooke winked.

"It's only because I was in control, baby" Xavier winked with a flirty smile on his face. He knew what he was doing, he was testing the waters and by the shade of crimson Brooke's cheeks went, told him everything.

There was a familiar rumble in the air, as everyone else arrived. As Brooke looked around she got a sense of familiarity again.

This place reminded her of something.

It was at that moment something caught her eye. She couldn't believe it.

The willow tree that was in front of her was the exact same one she drew to cover her scar on her shin. She thought she had made it up but here it was. She didn't realise she had been standing staring at the tree until James appeared next to her.

"You okay Bee?" James asked, nudging her.

"Just didn't expect to see this here" She mumbled, touching the tree. Something else clicked causing her to go around the back of the tree whilst James grinned, he saw the sparkle in her eyes.

This was the tree where James would bring her when she was upset.

She couldn't believe her eyes as she ran her finger tips over the carving of their initials.

She had finally remembered something. Spinning around she smiled at her brother before wrapping her arms around him.

"This is our spot" Brooke whispered "I remember when we decided we were going to run away, we shoved a ton of junk food in a bag and camped out here, until I got homesick"

"That was a good night," James chuckled. "It was also the night I taught you how to ride my bike"

"What was I like five" Brooke laughed as a few tears rolled down her cheek, this was the first thing she had remembered.

"Come on then Bee, let's go join everyone" James smiled.

Brooke couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she laid down next to Xavier.

"What's got you so smiley?" Xavier winked.

"Can't I just smile?" Brooke smirked propping herself up on her arm.

"Didn't say that did I Bumble" Xavier smirked running his finger along Brooke's arm. "Now aren't you getting too hot in the shirt?"

"Xavier" Brooke gasped, this was new to her. She didn't expect him to be so forward. But she couldn't help but giggle.

"Sorry" Xavier mumbled.

"I didn't say I didn't like it" Brooke smirked pulling off the band tee, and her jeans. Xavier wasn't expecting her to strip and choked on his drink.

"What's up Xavvy?" Brooke giggled. "Last one in the water smells"

Xavier couldn't help but watch as she ran to the water's edge.

"Oi Reynolds" Craig shouted throwing a shoe as Xavier "eyes off my daughter"

"Shit" Xavier mumbled "I wasn't staring I swear"

"Yeah sure son" Alex smirked.

"Xav you coming or what?" Brooke shouted from the water.

"Yeah gimme a minute" Xav laughed pushing himself to his feet and stripping down to his shorts.
