23 - I Will Do It

"I will do it" Brooke said before Xavier could speak.

"Like hell you are" Xavier shouted "I nearly lost you again and over my dead body and I letting that happen again"

"Calm the fuck down" Brooke roared as she stood up, folding her arms over her chest looking Xavier dead in the eyes "I know you aren't going to like this but I need this. I need to stand in front of the bastard who robbed so much of my life. I need to be the one who ends this bastard's life. So you are either with me or not. But whatever you choice I am doing this"

Xavier looked around the table to both Alex and Craig smirking at how Brooke took control and put him in his place. And honestly so was Xavier.

Over the next hour the plan was put together. Nothing was going to happen until Brooke could ride again as everyone agreed this was the safest and quickest way for her to get away if things went south.

And it meant for the next two weeks Brooke could rest up making sure she was mentally ready as well as physically ready.

"Now that the plan is decided, there is some other business we need to address" Alex grinned as he looked over to Brooke, his eyes landing on the gauze covering the fresh ink on her shoulder.

"It is my understanding that we officially have a new old lady in the club" Craig beamed as he looked at his daughter. "I know you guys haven't had the easiest starts but I couldn't be prouder of you both and I know damn well together you will be a force to be reckoned with"

Another half an hour went by as they discussed general plans and issues around the club, Xavier glanced down as he felt Brooke's breathing get shallower to find she had fallen asleep in his arms. Looking up at his dad he nodded.

"And I think with that church is over" He smiled tapping the table with his hand not wanting to wake Brooke.

Xavier adjusted his grip on Brooke as he stood, carrying her through the house. As she started to stir he stopped.

"Shh it's okay baby go back to sleep I've got you" He whispered kissing the top of her head.

Lilly stood there grinning as she watched her son.

"How is she doing?" She asked as she brushed some hair out of Brooke's face. 

"Okay I think. But i think her pain meds are wearing off" he sighed at the thought of her in pain.

"I thought they would be, so I've put her meds on your desk along with some food for you both" She smiled kissing her son's cheek.

"Thanks mom" Xavier smiled as he made his was upstairs.

He kicked the bedroom door open, making his way over to the bed, as gently as he could he placed Brooke down. But she still woke.

"How you feeling bumble?" He asked as he kicked his boots off.

"Like i've been hit by a truck" She groaned running her hand over her face.

"You are due some more meds now, I could tell they were starting to wear off by the faces you were pulling" he whispered as he passed her the plate of food and the tablets she needed to take. "Eat up then we can take a nap"

As soon as the tablets kicked in Brooke snuggled up to Xavier resting her head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

"I love you" She whispered as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

"I love you too" Xavier whispered kissing the top of her head "More than you will ever know"

Brooke woke up to the sun shining through the gap in the curtains and the sound of the shower running. She forgot how comfy this bed was, it was like floating on a cloud.

Slowly she rolled out of bed, she grabbed her meds before heading into the bathroom.

"Morning sexy" Brook smirked as she watched Xavier stand under the water. Letting it run down his body, making her bite her bottom lip. She couldn't help it as she stripped out of her pyjamas, she was in desperate need of a shower and what better way than having a shower with her man.

"You weren't supposed to be awake yet" Xavier smiled as Brooke wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her cheek against his back. As Brooke rang her fingers down his chest making him shiver. "What do you think you are doing?

"Urm showering, what does it look like" She grinned moving her hand lower.

"Well someone is in a playful mood" He growled spinning her around pinning her against the wall.

"It's amazing what a good night's sleep and pain killers does for you" Brooke giggled.

"When was this last changed?" Xavier whispered tracing around the bandage.

"They did it yesterday morning" she smiled "so don't need to do it for a couple more days"

"Good" he nodded as he dipped his head, slowly kissing her neck, making her melt into his body.

After a steamy makeout session, they both climbed out of the shower, wrapping a fluffy towel around her body. She couldn't stop smiling. She was back home, the place she belonged.

Xavier watched as Brooke ran her fingers through her hair, as she got ready for the day.

They both knew life would be good for the next two weeks would be good.
