I never had a chance to go to University, never got to finish high school. It's nerve-racking thinking about it. Sometimes I wondered how it would be like to have been responsible. Not trying to say getting pregnant was a terrible mistake, more like a ... beautiful mistake.

I was very happy about the news but it was a different reaction for her father, let's just say he didn't take it so well. After telling my parents they understood because it happens to them. My mother even insisted to give the baby daddy time, but I knew he wouldn't come around.

So instead of sitting there waiting for him to make up his mind, I made up mine. I had thought of going to Europe was the perfect place to start a new chapter in my life. Two years later I met Maggie. I met this one at a coffee shop that today we still go too.

She was so nice at the fact that I spilled her coffee and burned her too. Her reaction was smiling and laughing it off saying "accidents happen."

I didn't want to feel guilty for the rest of my life so I thought to buy her a new coffee would make me feel less guilty. Long story short we became friends and moved in with each other.

A pair of snapping fingers brought me back to reality.

"Have you been paying attention to anything I've been telling you?" I had been sitting at the wheel for what felt the longest all because of the nerves. Maggie at this point was invading my personal space with her head through the window too close to my face, "It's not as bad as I made it seem, some people here are nice. Stick with me and you'll be fine."

"Easy for you to say, you've been here for a few years now," I say and grip onto the wheel.

"You're the lucky one because when I started I had no one, but you have me." She began opening my car door and waited for me to get out.

"What if no one likes me? What if I fuck something up? Oh god, I can see myself getting fired today!" I groan and let my head hit the wheel.

"No one is perfect here Emma, not even the devil himself who runs this place. Even though I haven't personally seen him do anything.  But I know he out there scamming some rich dude."

I take a deep breathe, "I need the money." I say and collect myself.

"You and me girl." She laughed and pulled me out, causing me trip and fall.

"Oh god, you're so embarrassing." She said and put out her hand, I take it and yank her down.

Now two of us are on the ground cussing each other out as some people walk past us and gave us both dirty looks.

"How unprofessional Emma." She got up and dusted away the rocks that were stuck on her knees.

"You pulled hard on purpose." I got up and readjusting my shirt that revealed too much.

"On accident, but whatever at least I didn't land on the bird poop." She snorted because my hands were filthy of shit.

Once inside the building she went with me to get a tag, "Why can't I take another picture I came out looking like Shrek. I even told them
to put Emma but they gave me this!" I told her while we waited for the elevator.
