I was extremely stressed about the party. I literally didn't knew anyone that went except for Jordan and I was scared that he was going to forget me when he was with all of his best friends. I took a long shower and wore a white dress, lip balm, mascara and my favorite scrunchie. All ready to go, I went up to the front porch but he wasn't there yet. I waited for about 15 minutes wondering when was he coming. Suddenly, I heard a big car with loud speakers coming my way. Yup it was him. He arrived with 5 other boys all jammed in the backseat yelling and singing along to rap songs that I didn't even knew. Sorry, I'm not very cultured in the rap music world. I'm more of a RnB type of girl.
He lowered his window and shouted very loud like he probably disturbed the whole neighbourhood "COME IN! LET'S PARTYYY!" and I responded "WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU WITH ALL THIS MUSIC!"
He turned the sound off "I said... " then he rose it up even more then before "LET'S PARTY!!" he said again smiling to show off his perfect white teeth.
My entire face crisped and I had to cover my ears before becoming deaf forever.
All the boys shouted out of the windows of the white Jeep.
Some of them seemed very familiar to Hailey. He turned down the volume for good this time."Don't worry I reserved the front seat for you." he said with a normal tone of voice.
"Thank god ahahah" I returned with a laugh that was the opposite of natural.
We arrived to the beach 10 minutes later. There were a lot more people than I thought. About 150 teenagers were partying on the beach. I followed Jordan through the crowd of people and he was walking very fast while still giving high fives to literally everybody and I'm not kidding EVERYBODY. Does he think he's a celebrity or something what the hell. We finally stopped at a table of beer pong. Wow he was in a big hurry for this. Unbelievable.
"Wanna play a game?" he asked with a big smile on his face. He is probably passionate by this game.
"umm... Why not!" I replied even if I hate beer more than anything. I didn't want to seem boring to everybody else around."Yess that's what I like to hear! HEY JAKE! MADISON! COME HERE!" he said even more happy than before.
"DUDE! WASSUP! Who's the new girl?" the guy said. Must be Jake.
"Yeah who is that? Is she new?" added the girl, Madison if I heard right.
"Yeah I met her this morning while I was surfing. Her name is Hailey." Jordan answered.
"That's nice! Love your name by the way." she responded while observing me and crossing her arms.
"Thanks! Yours is pretty too." I told her trying not to look threatened by her presence.
"What do you think about a girls vs boys game?" said Jake ready to play with no mercy.
"Totally down for that! GAME ON BOYS!" Madison yelled very sure of herself. I hope she's good at this, cause I'm not.
I shot first and I got it. I was very shocked by my unexpected talent at this. Jordan got to drink. Then, Jake shot his ball and he got it too. Madison got to drink.
"People! I'm telling you! It's a pro game here!" shouted Jordan for everyone to hear.
Rapidly, a buch of teens gathered around the table to watch the game. The pressure was on. The game got intense very fast. Almost every shot made it to a cup and I got to drink a lot of beer even if I hated it. After the game that the girls had win, just to say, the guys all got very competitive. The smile Jordan had at the beginning of the game was suddenly gone. He saw a volleyball field a little further on the beach and his smile came back immediately, but it was not a happy one, more like a very competitive one.
"Are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?" he said with more confidence than ever looking at all the boys.
"Oh yeah we do!" they all shouted at the same time.
More people joined the group and we all went to the field. More girls and more boys joined each team. The game was really on now. I immediately regretted wearing a dress to a beach party. Not very useful for playing volleyball! After a few hours, me and Madison got exhausted and we decided to come back to the actual party and go talk around the campfire.
"I see that pretty boy got his eyes on you!" said Madison with a small laugh.
"What are you talking about?" I answered acting like I didn't knew what she was talking about.
"Can't you see the way he looks at you?" she asked
"I must be blind AHAHAH" I replied with my greatest sense of humour.
"You definitely are! But I need to warn you about something." she said getting very serious. I started to stress and my stomach was hurting me.
"What? What is it?" I replied.
"He's kind of a player with girls like you." she said. That's exactly what I didn't need hear.
(Hailey) -What do you mean like me?
(Madison) - You'll see. The first weeks, he will be all about you, but then, as they go by, he will start to talk to other girls and he will slowly let you go and forget you.
(Hailey) What makes you think that's going to happen?
(Madison) Well it happened to a lot of my friends.
(Hailey) -I'm getting tired. I'm going to ask him for a ride home.
(Madison) -Don't bother! He is way too occupied. I'm sure he's not leaving before 2am. Come with me! I can give you a ride home.
(Hailey) -Thank you that's nice.
We went in her car and 10 minutes later, I was back home without having said goodbye to Jordan. I immediately fell asleep in her bed.
(Jordan POV of the party)
I had to pick up all my stupid friends before picking up Hailey. She definitely thought I was crazy and very illegal with so many people in my backseat, but she looked very pretty in her white dress. She didn't talk at all during the ride. She just looked in front of her while playing with her rings on her fingers. I think she was nervous. We finally arrived 10 minutes later. I rushed directly to the beer pong table. I had to make sure it was reserved immediately. Not to brag but my friends call me the King of Beer Pong for a good reason. Everyone was high fiving me on my way to the table. Hailey must have thought I was cool. I am honestly. I saw Madison and Jake weirdly making out again, even if they are not a couple, not too far from the table so I asked them to join for an epic game. Hailey was really pro at this game, but she hated the beer. I knew just by the look on her cute face every time she had to drink. Then, the night went by and I started to get a little dizzy from all the beer I drunk during and after the game. We played volleyball and next thing I know, I'm waking up in the truck of my car with like three girls and none of them was Hailey. I really don't know how in hell I got there with these strangers. I also found out that I spammed her really badly on her cellphone. I had to drink a big coffee to get back up even if that's not my cup of tea. AHAHA did you see my pun. You got to admit I'm pretty hilarious.
