The moment I nearly lost you

A month has passed and he has stopped calling. He stopped texting.

I was so used to waking up and finding ten missed calls from him that now when I see my empty notifications I miss him even more.

His calls, voicemails, his texts, his photos, his voice in my head those were the only I had of him now.

I desperately need to move on.

But how?

People said that time will fly... But how can it when he was the one who has cut away the wings.

Kim Hanbin why? I trusted you. I believed in you. For twelve years I truly believed that maybe just maybe we will end up together.

What I've learnt is that nothing lasts forever. But what angers me is that he shouldn't have promised me. He shouldn't have clearly promised me, giving me hope, giving me high expectations. I am just tired.

Hanbin-ah I softly said his name.

Mmm the looming sadness is still there.

For days I have been pacing back and forth from hating him to missing him dearly. Nothing was working. I couldn't forget about him.

But today is going to be a different day!! You promised yourself that. That morning you woke up early and did a morning jog. You then went to a nearby cafe to eat breakfast and finish off the essay you have been putting off for days.

You were sitting on the bench looking out of the window.

You were typing on your laptop then suddenly you heard something that broke the facade you have been holding up with your dear life and sent you plummeting back to the dark abyss of self pity and sadness.

"Oh my god, did you see the photo of Hanbin and Lee Hayi, they are soooo cutteeee together..."

The other girls joined in, squealing, giggling.

"Oh my god did you see the way he looked at her. Oh my god, they are going to make such cute babies."

You nearly chocked on your mocha.

Seriously, can't I get some peace and quiet without hearing the name Hanbin and Lee Hayi. Together.

You packed your things and decided to go to the university's library.

Everywhere you go, there is ALWAYS someone who mentions his name.

'Please just let me go, give me some peace. '

As you were walking towards the library you heard the loudest bang. The screeching of the tyres could be heard.

You turned around to see what's with all the commotion.

There were people surrounding the car. The driver got out and screamed, "Ottoke??"

You quickly registered this as an urgent emergency and you rushed to the scene. As you looked down, you saw a young man on the ground.

He was conscious but wasn't moving. My mind quickly went through all the things I've learnt in med school.

I quickly went to his side and when I looked into his eyes.

My heart sank.

It was Hanbin.

His eyes were soulless. He was staring straight at you.

You checked his heartbeat. It was still beating but it was mellow. You quickly put your scarf around his neck supporting his head.

"Hanbin-ah can you hear me?"
