Road Games

In the van on the way to a mission:

"Are we there yet?"

"Sam, we're five minutes closer than the last time you asked. Shut up, and wait it out." James is always fed up with Sam, but right now Sam is making it a bit easier than normal. "I something to entertain me. You could have told me that this drive was going to be three hours long, Cap."

"I got the information half an hour before we left, Sam." Sam scoffed a little and laid down on the bench. "If you're going to act like a bored little girl, why don't you just play truth or dare or something." I said. It was meant to be a joke, but Sam sat up and said "Alright. Barnes, truth or dare?" James rolled his eyes, but I knew he was as bored as the rest of us. "Fine. Dare." Sam thought for a moment. "Alright, Barnes. You have to kiss one person in this car of your choice. Have fun with that." We haven't really told anyone about us yet because, well, have you met Sam? They may be heroes, but our friends like to gossip and tease. I totally expect he'll give Steve a kiss on the cheek.

He looks at Steve with his amazing puppy dog eyes. "Steve?" Steve blushes. "Yeah?" he says keeping his eyes on the road and not making eye contact. It's really hard to watch without laughing. "Can you move your elbow so I can get to Natalia?" What? I don't really ever blush, but I was this close. Sam must have expected it to be Steve too because he looked at James like he was insane. Steve smiled as he moved his arm. James climbed to the bench that I was sitting on and gave me a little short kiss. He looked at me as if t ask whether I wanted him to stop so we could play it off like a joke, but when I smiled, he came back for a very long kiss. "Okay, excuse me, but what the hell is happening?" We parted but stayed close. "Steve? Did you know about this?" Steve nodded and Sam threw his hands up. We all burst out laughing.
