Alexa led me to her home where we played for hours. I found something to cook her for dinner and felt like I was meant to be there. I didnt feel out of place whatsoever. Through our night of fun, I figured out that Alexa's dad died soon after she was born due to Cancer. When she turned 3 the familiar woman on the Ad that was running for president, found the cure for cancer. Her mother is that womans best friend. The gorgeous red headed woman who was so cold to her own child was running the womans campaign for president. The familiarity of her face and name stuck with me all night that I could barely sleep. Standing and walking became much easier, but I still felt off center and unbalanced. Something about this place bugged me, but I guess it's what I signed up for. After all there are always two sides to a dish.
I put Alexa to bed and decided to snoop a little. I found some mail that said 'Molly Heartbloom' on it. I had only assumed that it was Alexa's mother's name. I wandered around the large Penthouse. It was no suprise that Molly had money, you could tell by her elegant grace and the way she dressed. She wore what looked like expensive jewelry and a professional yet elegant black dress that stopped just below her knees. The dress highlighted her figure and showed off her curves.
I didnt see molly come home or leave the next morning. I had fallen asleep in Alexa's room. When I woke up I went to the kitchen to make Alexa breakfast. I wouldnt have even thought that Molly came home if I hadn't found a list of things for me to do along with some money for the day left on the counter. The List.
1. Make sure to wake Alexa, feed her, and get her dressed.
2. Help Alexa study.
3. Take Alexa out to lunch and get her an ice cream if she is good.
4. Take Alexa out to the park and let her play for a while.
5. Bring Alexa home and feed her dinner.
6. Put Alexa down for bed. If she throws a fit, just let her cry.The main thing that ran through my head was 'wow this woman really knows her kid'. My sarcasm was extreme. Even in my thoughts. I shoved the note in my pocket and decided to do more with Alexa than take her out to lunch, ice cream, and the park. This little girl was lacking fun. I was going to take her out. I noticed that the money was the same as my money. I had expected it to be different like everything else here, but it wasnt. Although I had lost my bag, I still had all my money I had taken with me. That, along with the money Molly left, was enough to buy myself some new clothes and have some fun with Alexa. I pulled out a bowl, spoon, milk, and some cereal. I waited to pour Alexa her cereal and went to wake her. She had terrible bed head that made me laugh as she groggily rubbed her eyes. She whined a little and yawned as she got up, taking my hand as if it was instinct. I led her out of her room and to the kitchen, helping her onto a stool. I poured her cereal till she said to stop, not wanting to give her too much food. I poured just enough milk in the bowl and stuck the spoon in it, sliding the bowl across the counter to her. Her eyes lit up at the sight of her favorite cereal and she dug in. A slight smile spread across my face seeing her light up like that. I enjoyed seeing her happy. I felt connected to her in some weird way. Like I needed to protect her. I may have just met her, but that didnt change the way I felt at all. I poured myself a glass of milk instead of a bowl of cereal. I could see that Alexa questioned it but it was only for a small moment before she dove back into her cereal. I took a sip and looked at her smiling. "You finish your breakfast then meet me in your room to get dressed." She only nodded slightly, too lost in her food. I smiled and rolled my eyes shaking my head. I drank the rest of my milk and went to Alexa's room, pulling out a cute yellow and white dress. I heard the clatter of Alexa trying to put her dish in the sink and laughed a little, walking out. "Leave it. I'll get it." She looked flushed and ran to her room. It made me smile how she got a little upset at not being able to reach the sink because she was so small. I followed her back into her room and watched her struggle to take off her pajamas. I found it rather humorous until she gave me a death glare. I raised my hands in surrender and laughed, slowly dropping to my knees and helping her. It took me longer than fifteen minutes to get her dressed. I dont even take that long! I sat on her bed and grabbed her brush, pulling her onto my lap. I brushed her hair and braided it in a fishtail braid. Her pretty reddish orange hair shimmered in the light that shown through her window onto her hair. It was a real awe moment. She turned to me and smiled. "So A, what are we gonna do today?" I smiled back at her and fixed my hair a little as it didnt look as bad as hers did. "Well Lexie, we are going to go shopping and go to the park and get some food and icecream and anything else you want" she jumped up and squealed with excitement at the sound of ice cream. She was truly the cutest thing. I grabbed her a pair of socks and sat her down on the bed, putting them on her feet. "Just dont give me any problems alright?" She nodded, clearly excited. I grabbed her tennis shoes and slid them onto her small feet tying her laces. I'm sure her mother would want her to be dressed more like a sophisticated young lady, but I'm not her mother, and I actually care. I helped Alexa to her feet and took her hand, walking with her to the front door. "Need anything?" I looked down at her. I didnt know if she had any medical conditions, like asthma, that I should know about. Her mom didnt take the time to tell me. She shook her head and I let out a small sigh of relief. I opened the door and led Alexa out of the house, the door locking by itself with a handprint lock. It was still so new and suprising to me that I couldn't help but jump in slight shock. Alexa quickly soothed me and led me out to the street.
I had planned on taking Alexa to the mall to get me new clothes first but I didnt want to be stuck carrying the clothes around with us all day. I also realized that I have no clue where the mall is, if there even was one. I decided to take Alexa to the park first. We were there for around two hours before Alexa fell, getting a scrape on her knee. I got up from the bench I was sitting on and ran over to her. I knelt down to her and rubbed her back with one hand as I looked at her knee with the other. I looked at her and smiled, wiping away her tears. "Shh it's okay baby. It's not that bad, I'll go get my bag and bandage you up." She sniffled and knodded giving me the okay. I planted a light kiss on her forehead and ran back to the bench, grabbing the bag. I quickly walked back over to her. Seeing her fight the urge to cry from the pain made me feel weird inside. I guess it was pride, but I dont know. I sat next to her and unzipped the bag, pulling out a first aid kit. I opened the kit and pulled out some neosporin and a bandaid big enough to cover the small little scrape. I lightly blew on her knee and watched her wince. I grabbed some gauze and poured some water, from my water bottle, on it. I shifted her so her legs were on my lap and gently cleaned up the scrape, making sure that there was no dirt in it. Alexa whined and I quickly put the bandaid with the neosporin on it on her knee. She didnt even notice. I laughed and pushed her legs off me. "Cmere little baby" she looked at me then her knee and hugged me before standing up. I stood up as well and pointed at an ice cream stand not far from us. Her face lit up and I smiled, knodding and handing her a few dollars. She took the money and ran off like she had never hurt her knee. I laughed and watched her. I heard a distant chuckle and heard a man say "You did well there."
