Now here's the thing.

I in no way, shape, or form hate this ship.

It's canon so extra points and it's very cute.

However, (unpopular opinion) but I feel like this ship is a bit overrated.

I definitely can see it happening since it did, but I feel like Hamilton married her at first for her money and then fell in love with her later.

I also feel like if Hamilton cheating on her was any indication, this relationship is a bit rocky.

But here's the thing.

They had so many kids and Hamilton complained about being lonely when he was away from her.

He stated in his letters how much he loved and valued her and how she had stolen his love, similar to what he said to Laurens.

So I just feel like Hamilton loved her, but he loved too many other people, like Laurens and maybeeee Maria.

I feel like in that way, his heart just wasn't settling with her and he was dissatisfied with the relationship.

To put it simply, Hamilton? More like Hoemilto-
