Louis' POV

I was sitting on the couch, when Bryan's name came across my phone screen.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Louis, Jenny's in the hospital. Her and Matt were in a wreck, I'm on my way up there now. But Louis.." He trailed off.

"What is it Bryan?"

"Matt said she's not waking up. She's in a coma, bro."

"What?!" I yelled.

"Do you want me to call you back when we hear something from the doctors?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'm gonna try to figure something out."

"Okay. Later, dude." He said before hanging up.

I sat there holding my phone, thinking about everything Bryan said. I jump up and run to the bunk and start going through my bag until I finally gripped what I was looking for and pulled out a picture of me and Jenny. In the picture, she was on my back and I was holding her up my her legs and she was laughing. I sat down on the bed and stared at it, smiling.

Matt's POV

I sat in the recliner next to Jenny's bed, when Bryan and Lacie ran in.

"What happened?" Bryan asked running next to Jenny.

"A drunk driver ran a red light and he was speeding. He hit Jenny's side and she wasn't buckled. Sh- she went through the windshield." I stumbled.

"She always hated wearing a seatbelt." Lacie said looking at Jenny with a sad smile.

I walked over and wrapped my arms around Lacie and let her cry. "I'm sorry, I didn't keep her safe like I should've." I said looking at the ground.

"Hey man, you didn't know this was gonna happen and she wouldn't want you blaming yourself." Bryan said walking over and putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I could've told her to buckle up though."

"We all know how she is. She's the most stubborn person in our family. She probably wouldn't have listened even if you did tell her to." He said chuckling.

"Yeah, you're probably right." I said looking over at her laying on the hospital bed. "Have you called Louis? I know she'd want him to know."

"I called him in the way. He said to call him when we hear something." Bryan said.

"Have the doctors said anything yet?" Lacie spoke up.

"Other than to call a nurse if anything changes, but we don't know when that'll be." I answered.

"I'm definitely kicking her ass when she wakes up." Lacie said.

After that I heard someone yelling down the hall and before I could step out, Kacey busted in the room and over to Jenny.

"Jenny, wake up! Stop messing around, I need my best friend!" She cried. Bryan walked over and pulled her into a hug. "Why won't she wake up, B?"

"Kacey, she's in a coma. We don't know when she'll wake up." He said shushing her.

"What am I gonna do until then?" She asked.

"I'm not sure. You can come up here anytime you need to though."

"I know this. She may be you're sister, but she's my best friend. We talk about everything and even though she's in a coma, nothings gonna change. So of course I'm still gonna come see her." She stated.

"Okay. Maybe if we talk to her, she'll wake up." I suggested.

About that time, the doctor walked in. "You're actually right about that. Studies show, talking to someone that's in a coma, they have a better chance at coming out of it." He stated.

"Thank you, Doc." Bryan said shaking his hand, then walking outside to call Louis, I guessed.

Louis' POV

My phone lit up and Bryan's name popped across the screen and I stumbled to grab the phone and answered.

"Bryan? Did the doctors come in?"

"Yeah. He said the best thing to do is talk to her and maybe, she'll come out of it." He answered.

"So I won't be able to be much help." I said, anger growing inside me by the minute.

"I'm sorry, bro. But she'll know you're worried about her."

"Okay, Thanks. Keep me updated." I said before hanging up and throwing my phone across the room.
