It's been a week since I woke up from my coma and today's the day I get to go home. I was getting my stuff together when Matt walked in.

"Hey babe, are you ready to go home?"

"Yes! Just gotta wait for the doctor to come in and sign the release papers." I said handing him the last bag, which he took.

"Alright. That should be anytime now." He said looking at the door.

A few minutes later, the doctor walked in with some papers and set them down in front of me. "Well as soon as you sign these papers, my favorite patient will be good to go."

"Oh, I'm sure you say that to all your patients." I joked. I picked up the pen and signed my name and handed them back to the doctor, smiling. "Thank you, dr. Smith."

"Thank you, miss Henson." He said, taking the papers, turning around, and now walking out of the room.

I turned to Matt and smiled. "Let's go home." I grabbed his hand and we walked out of the hospital. When we stepped outside, Matt bent down and picked me up bridal style and walked me to the car. "You know I can walk right? I was in a coma, I'm not paralyzed." I said before kissing his cheek.

"I know. I just missed having you in my arms." He said putting me in the car. "Now buckle up."

"Even though I was in a coma for not wearing one, I still hate these things."

"Well I'm not gonna take another chance, so wear it anyway." He said sternly. I stared at him but put it on anyway. "Thank you." He said leaning down to kiss me. He closed my door, walked around and got in and started the car. "Let's go home." He said grabbing my hand.

The car ride was silent. When we got home, I unbuckled, ran up the porch steps, and into the house. When I got inside, all my family and friends jumped up and yelled 'surprise!' I looked around and a smile spread across my face.

"My baby girl is finally home." My mom said, walking to me and hugging me.

"Hey, mama." I said hugging her back, when Bryan walked up to me.

"Where's Matt?" He asked.

"Outside getting my bags. Why?"

"Come out back with me. I need to talk to you." He said walking toward the back door, when he turned around. "Actually I have to go to the bathroom. I'll meet you out there. Glad to have you home though." He said putting his hand on my shoulder and walking to the bathroom.

I walked outside and over to the patio and took a seat and waited, when I heard someone behind me.

"Hey."

I turned toward the voice and saw the last person I though I'd see that day.

"Louis!" I exclaimed.

"I missed you, Jenny." He said, smiling.

I jumped up from where I was sitting, ran down the stairs and jumped in his arms. "How did you get to come home? I thought you said you couldn't make it." I asked, confused.

"About that, I was kinda already home. I wanted to surprise you." He said holding me tight.

"How did you get to leave from wherever you were?"

"Japan. And I told them my mom was in the hospital and I had to come home." He answered.

"This is the best surprise I've ever received." I said, tearing up.

"Well, I'm glad you like it." Bryan said, coming outside.

"So you knew about this the whole time?" I asked climbing off Louis and looking over at Bryan.

"Who do you think picked him up?" He asked.

I walked over to him and hugged him, tight. "Thank you, bub."

"You're welcome. Now, we better get back inside, considering all these people have been waiting for you to wake up."

So we all walked inside and everyone hugged me and told me how happy they were that I was awake. After a few minutes I excused myself and went to mine and Matt's room. When I walked in, Matt was already sitting on the bed. I walked over and sat down next to him.

"Hey baby. What are you doing up here by yourself?" I asked, placing my hand on his arm, which he shrugged off. "What's wrong, Matt?"

"When you woke up, when you first seen me, all you did was hug and kiss me. But when Louis shows up, you jump in his arms and cry. So what's that about Jennifer?" He asked, getting frustrated.

The only thing running through my mind was, he used my full name and he's never done that. "He's been across the world for almost a year. So of course I'm gonna miss him."

"I've never seen you jump in his arms like that before. Do you even love me or are you just trying to get over your feelings for him?" He asked finally looking at me. By this time I was crying.

"Of course I love you Matt." I answered.

"Well, I'm not sure I can believe that. The way you looked at him, you've never looked at me like that."

"How did I look at him?" I asked, getting irritated.

"With a look of pure love!" He yelled, then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I think we need to break up. I can't be with someone that's torn between me and someone else. Like Johnny Depp always said: 'if you can't choose between two people, choose the second cause if you loved the first one, you wouldn't have noticed the second." He said looking at his hands.

"Matt, please don't do this to us." I pleaded. He just stood up, walked to the door, opened it, and stood there not looking at me. "Okay. If this is what you really want, then fine. But I do love you, Matt." I said before getting up and walking out of the room, crying.

I walked in the living room and stood on the couch and whistled, getting everyone's attention. "Party's over guys. I'm sorry. Thanks for coming though." I said before getting down and going to find Louis. I walked in the kitchen and found him talking to my cousin, Kobe. "Hey Louis?" I spoke up.

He turned around and looked at me. "Jenny? Why are you crying?"

"Can you take me home?" I asked.

"You are home. What's going on?" He asked, walking over to me.

"Matt just broke up with me. I need to get out of here. Please." I begged.

"Okay, let me get my keys and I'll meet you outside." He said before walking out of the room. I walked outside and sat on the porch swing thinking about all the memories I had in this house. A few minutes later, Louis came outside. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded and we walked down the road to where his truck was parked. He opened my door, I climbed, buckled up and stared out the windshield. He looked at me for a few seconds before closing the door, walked around to the other side, got in and started the truck and we started out r drive to moms house.
