Joenetta POV:

I awoke from my sleep and checked my phone. 4:23 a.m., it read. I went to the bathroom and did my business, then washed my face and brushed my teeth. I looked in the mirror and I studied my features. Small little nose, beautiful colored eyes, and big luscious lips. For people to not like my features, they sure did try so hard to Achieve them. My eyes are actually slightly two different colors. One light brown and the other almost hazel like, just like my mother. Nothing contacts couldn't fix but my life would be different. I would show the world the beautiful features they want me to hide so desperately .
   Today I'm supposed to go shopping but not until 10:45 a.m. I still had plenty of time so I went back into my room from my own personal bathroom and put in my air pods, my brother got me. I played music until I fell asleep to the lovely voices of Aaliyah and Billie Eilish.

9:30 a.m
"Joey wake up!" I turn over and try to fall asleep again. "Joey if you don't get up we're gonna eat your breakfast." I jumped outta my sleep and my brother and sister Alexia and Alex fell to the ground. "Are you alright gremlins?" I asked. "Yeah stupid." Alexia said. Let that have been me my mother would've snatched me up so fast. Every time I do something, she catches it but let Alexia or Alex do it. All of a sudden nothing is said or done. I swear that lady stops getting strict but the day. "Hello Alex" I say. "Hey Joey", He says. You see I like Alex WAYYYYYY more than Alexia. They're both bad but Alexia is the seed of chucks and satan while Alex is just reckless, like me. I love them but they can be a handful I'm just glad they both have so much confidence at the age of 9. If someone were to do, say or even touch them, I'll go to war for mines.

I quickly take a shower, moisturize my skin and quickly run down for breakfast before my sister eats my food. You see I love food but I'm really small. I weigh A LOT but it doesn't show. Guess I'm a lucky one. I get down stairs and greet my parents. "Good morning Ma and pop." I said. " Good morning" , they said simultaneously. Yes hey do that a lot them debate on who said it first. But my dad loses it because he says my mom cheats with her "Womanly charm". Can you believe this guy? He's whipped! Don't tell him I said that. He might eat my ice cream again hehe. Anyway , we got had to go shopping before momma bear pulled off her wig lol.

  As we're out shopping I noticed my besties and run to jump as if he knew I was coming he turns and lifts me up like the good ole days. "Jahking, king I missed you babes", I said. "Chocolate drop you getting thicker I see",Jahking said. "Boy stop it", I said as he puts me down. "You fat girl dang what you been eating? I quit nvm i know, the whole kitchen", he said then falls to the floor laughing. "Yeah it's so funny watch when I beat you senseless kid",. I said as I kicked him. We laughed it off and he helped me finish shopping. Lord this my bestie since diapers I love this boy with everything in me. We parted ways, sadly. I went home thinking "How will my first day go?" Apart of me believed my life was going to be different this year. A change was going to come. My senior year will change my life forever and maybe..... for the better💕.
