It was a rainy night in New York. Some of the avengers were in the tower, and the rest were god knows where. Anyways, the people in the huge place were Tony, Steve, Sam, Bucky, Nat, Pepper, Peter, Harley and Maria. The reason why agent Hill was with the others was that she had some paper work to give to Pepper but since it was rainy, she wasn't able to leave, so she stayed.
It was currently 9pm and everyone wondered what they could do. Peter and Harley were on the "kids" floor, arguing as always. Maria was in the kitchen. Steve, Sam and Bucky were in the living room, talking about their last mission. Pepper and Tony were in the living room as well, both thinking about god knows what. Natasha was sitting in the couch in her room, near the window, enjoying the rainy night. Oh god, Natasha loved to sit alone in the rainy nights, thinking about life, but this time....this time was different. The Black Widow, the ex- assassin was thinking about the main rule the red room had told her- love is for children. That love is just an illusion, an excuse for people to make children. Natasha thought so much about this. "Is it possible for me to love"? she asked herself. Deep down she knew that it is. Deep down Nat knew that her feeling for Maria were true. But she never has the courage to confess it. Neither to herself nor to anyone else. She had to let it go.

"Guys i'm so bored, let's do something or i swear i would die here" Sam complained.
"Hm wouldn't be such a loss" Bucky said in return.
"Oh not again please. Gosh you're so childish"
Steve was so done with the two boys. "Stark, give some suggestions"
"FRIDAY, do you have any ideas what to do in a rainy night" the playboy genius spoke to the AI.
"The most common result i found is to build a fort from pillows and blankets, boss"
"Are you fucking kidding me"- Tony groaned.
"Language" Steve said to his friend. Then Pepper gave an order:
"Guys i think this is a great idea actually, i'm gonna get Peter and Harley downstairs, someone go and get Nat" Maria, who joined the group a minute ago said without hesitation "I'll do it". Oh yeah... Maria had a big crush on Nat. Since the day she joined SHIELD. Back in that days, Nat trusted no one besides Clint. She became friends with Maria too, but Nat always got that feeling that everyone she became close with is going to die. That's why she never got too attached with the agent.
Both of Pepper and Maria headed upstairs.
Maria stood in front of Natasha's door, going to knock, but apparently she hadn't enough courage to do it. But Natasha's spy sense told her that someone was outside. She stood up and slowly opened the door.
"Hey" Maria said with a soft tone. Natasha felt her heart melting.
"Hey" a small smile escaped from the russian spy's mouth.
"Uhm... Pepper and the boys decided that.. uhm... we could build a fort from pillows and blankets...I don't know you probably don't want to but i had to make sure"
"Do you want it" Nat asked
"I— uhm— yeah sure"
"Then i'll come downstairs"
The two girl headed to the living room.
Pepper and the two teens were already there.
"Now i need everyone's pillows and blankets, everything you find, bring it here" Bucky said
"Sounds like you've done this before, mr Barnes" Peter joked
"Shut up kid" Bucky responded with a light blush.

Everyone brought every single pillow and blanket that they found. A couple of hours and few swears later, there was a huge fort in the living room. Everyone got inside.
"Should we watch a movie" Tony asked
"Good idea, Stark" Maria told him. "Nat, any suggestions"
"Hmm, Whatever you chose"
Finally they decided to watch some scary movies. The order they were sitting was:: Bucky, Steve, Sam, Tony, Pepper, Peter, Harley, and Nat and Maria.
The movie was in its middle part. But there was something wrong. One of the scenes reminded Nat of her past, when she user to be the deadly assassin. There was so much blood. Nat was scared, but hid it well. Not from Maria though.
Then, the tv showed a scene where a little girl was tortured, just as the red room did to natasha. She started shaking a little and a few tears escaped from her eyes. Maria saw it and immediately hugged her. She whispered "shhh it's okay, Nat. Im here." Natasha felt safe. For the first time in her life. She buried her face in Maria's shoulder and quickly fell asleep. When the movie was over, Tony said to Peter and Harley "kids it's time to sleep, go to your rooms" Pepper said to her husband that they should go too, and so they did. Bucky and Sam did the same. Steve left the fort by saying to Maria "Take care of her. Apparently she loves you"
"Thanks, Steve. Good night."
"Night"
Maria was left alone with only a sleeping Nat in her hands. The only thing that Hill could think about was how beautiful Natasha is. She wanted this moment to last forever.
Maria leaned a bit and kissed Nat's forehead. In this moment, she woke up.
"Nat i'm....i'm so sorry i" She was interrupted by a soft voice.
"Don't be...There's something i wanted to tell you a long time ago....." Nat, who was now sitting in front of Maria said. "Maria i really like you....since i first met you. I've never had the courage to tell you tis because i was too afraid that everyone i love would leave...."
Nat had tears in her eyes.
Maria cupped Nat's face in her hands and softly kissed her. "I love you too...from a long time ago, Nat" They laid down, hugging.
"Does this means that we are....dating?" Maria asked.
"Yeah i think so." Natasha smiled and kissed her girlfriend.
