Today was the day. The band had to decide who their new drummer would be. They had narrowed it down even more to just 10 guys. Then 5. Then 3. Paul Caravello being one of the three. They discussed and relistened to the tapes. Finally after what felt like forever they had made their decision.

"Well, I think we know who we want it to be, and that person is, Paul Caravello." Paul said standing up and announcing it to everyone in the room. I jumped up and down excitedly.

"Jess, call him and give him the news." Gene said.

I hurriedly ran to the phone and dialed in his number that was written on a piece of paper.

"Hello?" I heard Paul say the the phone.

"Hi, this is Jessica, I'm Paul Stanley's secretary and I just wanted to let you know that you've been chosen as the new drummer for KISS!!!" I said.

"No way!!! Really?!" Paul said, sounding ecstatic.

"Its real." I said.

"Wow thank you so much!!!" Paul said.

"Of course, and Paul and the band wants you at the studio tomorrow by 1:00" I said.

"Got it, I'll be there." Paul said. I hung up and went back into the living room. We all went out for lunch to celebrate and then I went home. I sat around most of the day and stayed home. I went to bed really early since I was bored to death.

I woke up earlier than usual and decided to just head into the studio. I took a quick shower and got dressed. I put on some leather pants and a white tshirt that said KISS all in black on the front. I put on some black heels and some big hoops. I threw on a little bit of black eyeshadow giving my eyes a smoky look with some eyeliner and mascara. I swiped on some red lipstick and touched up my big curly, and frizzy hair. I grabbed my small leather clutch bag and walked out the door to my red Corvette.

I got to the studio around 11:00. I unlocked the door and went inside. I turned on all the lights and got everything set up for the band and the new member, Paul. Once I did that I walked over to the coffee shop and got coffee for everyone and a box of donuts. Then, carefully I walked back over to the studio and put the coffees in the microwave to keep them warm. I realized my purse was still in my car so I ran out to go grab it.

I saw Paul getting out of his car, it was white and looked a little rough.

"Hi!" I said to him.

"Oh hi!" Paul said, shutting the door to his car.

"A little early?" I said.

"Yeah, I thought I'd show up a little early, you know?" Paul said.

"Yeah, it's better than being late." I said.

"Exactly." Paul said.

"Come on, I'll let you inside." I said.

"Thanks!" Paul said as he started to follow me inside. God he's so hot!!! I opened the door and held it open for him. I led him into the office where I had the donuts and coffee.

"You can have some donuts if you'd like." I said pointing to the box of donuts.

"I'm good." Paul said, taking a seat.

"Wow, I never thought I'd see you again." I said with a laugh.

"Yeah me too. I never thought I'd be the drummer of KISS!" He said with a big grin.

"So were you in any bands before or is this your first big step?" I asked curiously as I sat down next to him.

"Well I guess you could say this is my first really big step, but I was in a few small local bands growing up." He said.
