The Strain

Recovery girl frowns at the awkward stump of Shoji's once top-left arm. It was the fourth time she'd tried, and even the students could tell that her abilities would have no effect on him. Todoroki ran his fingers through Shoji's hair, who was still out for the count. Toshinori had explained to them that the strange drug in his system likely had everything to do with his not waking up.

"I'm sorry, but I think it's best if we take him into Hosu General," She tells Toshinori and Aizawa, who stiffens.

"Thank you for trying, Chiyo." Toshinori smiles weakly.

And so Midnight escorts Aizawa, Toshinori, and Shoji to Hosu General Hospital. They're taken into a private room immediately, and the consulting nurse takes notes while Toshinori explains what happened. Aizawa had to sign a few documents, and all three teachers were required to stay for the procedure.

The nurse and healers both explained that they would do what they could. They could help Shoji regenerate his one decayed arm, and the partially decayed one, but they weren't quite sure if his quirk would work the same for those two arms.

The procedure took two and a half hours, and then they went through the process of flushing Shoji's system, to rid him of the drug. They sifted through what they'd collected, and were able to siphon the drug out separately. It would be taken to a lab so that an anecdote could be created and stored for future instances.

Midnight returns to UA after another two hours, but Toshinori and Eraser both have elected to stay the night by Shoji's side, as they were considered guardians. Shoji was projected to wake sometime the next day, and two days after, he'd be allowed visitors, while they ran tests on his quirk.
