Todoroki tapped his foot impatiently. He had been for nearly ten minutes now. His eyes flickered up to the clock, which was two minutes away from letting him know that the first class of the day would be in session.

He let his eyes drift around the room. Two birds flew by the window, soaring through the bright blue sky. Bakugo had his feet kicked up on his desk, chatting to Kirishima, while Iida gave him a disapproving stare from across the room.

Uraraka was toying with a bit of her hair, watching Mina redo Tsu's braid. Midoriya's fingers were busy typing away on his phone. Just then, the door slid open, and Midoriya put his phone down with finality.

Aizawa shuffled to the center of the room, his sleeping bag casually rested over his shoulder. He yawned. "I'll take attendance, then Iida will go over an etiquette lesson for the first half of the class. Who's missing?"

"Shoji, sensei." Midoriya piped up before Todoroki could. A few looked around, then turned back to face the front of the class.

"Is he late? Or will he be absent?"

"Absent. He says he's not feeling well, and thought it best to rest in his dorm. He's prepared for make-up and extra work." Midoriya reports dutifully.

Todoroki frowns at the back of the boy's head. It was great to know Shoji wasn't missing or anything but... why didn't he tell him he wasn't feeling well? Todoroki would've fixed him up a healthy light breakfast and brought him some medicines at least before he left. And he could've brought Shoji's notebook with him to copy notes for the boy.

"Shoto," Momo's whisper breaks his focus on Midoriya, who was now staring at him confusedly.  He averted his eyes, but Bakugo caught his attention, giving him a firm glare. Todoroki sighed, then looked to the front of the room where Iida stood as their lesson began.

Needless to say Todoroki's mind wasn't present during the lesson. Sure, he took notes, but he'd have to have Momo catch him up because it was just going in one ear and out the other. All he wanted was for lunch to come so he could go back to the dorms and see Shoji.
