It was just a normal day at the Columbus State Mental Hospital.

20 year old Tyler Joseph was led into the waiting room by a nurse, handcuffed by the hands and legs. He was dressed in a orange prison uniform, and had a few cuts on his face.

It was his 2nd year there, and he was losing his mind, especially after he did the unthinkable.

He never wanted it, or even thought of it, it just happened, and he was to blame.

Tyler was seated in the waiting room while the nurse checked him in. He looked around to see everything that surrounded him. It was like he had never seen it before.

The nurse came over and sat next to him. She tried avoiding contact with the boy, but she truly wanted to know who he was, since she wasn't his normal nurse.

"How did you end up here?"

Hw turned his head to her.

"I killed someone."

"The nurse frowned.

"I'm sorry."

"No you're not."

"No truly I am. It's sad to hear that the demons took the person who was innocent."

"They said he wasn't innocent. He deserved to die."

The nurse touched his shoulder.

"He didn't deserve it, but it happened anyway."

Before the conversation could go any further, the nurse came out from the back.

"Joseph."

The nurse helped Tyler to his feet and led him into the back room to see the psychiatrist.

They came into a room, where they would wait.

"The psychiatrist will be here to see you in a few minutes."

Tyler and the nurse sat together, waiting for the psychiatrist to come in.

"I'm sure what you did wasn't planned."

"They planned it, and I was their bait."

"You don't need to keep on blaming yourself. What's done is done."

"I need to be punished."

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. The psychiatrist came in.

"Good afternoon guys."

She smiled to the nurse.

"Mrs. Black, it's very nice to see you."

"You too."

The psychiatrist looked upon Tyler, still looking like he had nothing to live for, but she was pleasant and kind to him.

"It's great to see you again Mr. Joseph."

Tyler barely looked up to the psychiatrist.

"Y-You too ma'am."

The psychiatrist sat down on the chair, holding a clipboard on her lap.

"Let's go ahead and get started. Mrs. Black, you can go ahead and wait in the waiting room until we're done."

"Yes ma'am."

Before leaving, Mrs. Black patted on Tyler's shoulder.

"I'm here for you, okay?"

Tyler grinned, but only a little.

"Thank you Mrs. Black."

"Please, call me Jenna."

"T-Thank you, J-Jenna."

She left the room, leaving Tyler and the psychiatrist together alone.

"So, the staff have reported that you need to see me?"

"Yes ma'am."

"And why is that?"

Tyler lowered his head.

"I-I don't feel comfortable keeping secrets about my life."

"I'm sure everyone feels that way."

"No you don't understand!" Tyler shouted. "I'm here because I did something I was told to do, and I tried to stop it!"

Tyler started crying. The psychiatrist frowned.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you."

"D-Don't apologize." He replied. "I should've prevented it."

"Everyone does, but some don't."

"I tried everything I could to stop it, but the demons were too much for me."

The psychiatrist leaned closer to him.

"What happened that sent you here?"

Tyler leaned closer as well, and began to tell his story.
