Down a hairy hole? No, I don't think that's right, either

1st POV

I sighed as the cold water lapped over my skin as I sat on a small boulder underneath the lake, staring at the fishes that swam around me curiously before flashing away when I shifted lightly. From behind me, I heard Kagome lambasting about the lack of hot baths as she shivered, and I dunked my head in to wet my semi-long hair. Earlier, before we left the village, Kaede discouraged any of the villagers from coming along due to Kagome going through a purifying ceremony, or something to that effect. I didn't care much about what lie she spewed to them, I just wanted to relax since yesterday was too much for me. I hadn't have to work that hard since the extreme training that grandpa had put me through once, I started growing into my powers.

"I wanna go home!"

"Don't we all?" I muttered as I brushed my bangs back from my forehead, wading through the water towards the shore opposite of Kagome to hurriedly get dressed and shook water out of my dark hair. Once settled, I rounded the bank, not looking towards where my cousin was since I know she would freak if she sees a male glancing her way even though we're related, and I like guys.

"Siiiiiiit!" I heard the tale tell sound of Inuyasha meeting the ground and scoffed in amusement. I could hear Inuyasha's yelp of pain when he finally collided with the rocky ground, pulling himself up to begin their bickering, but that all faded into the background as I made my way back to the village, passing by a woman with short dark hair and revealing clothing. My senses shuddered at the yokai wafting from her and eyed her critically before continuing on.

I was by no means a biased person. As long as a demon didn't harm anyone, then I was in the right mind to leave them alone. We passed each other by peacefully, and the breath that I was holding gushed out of me without my permission. The villagers gave me a wide birth as I made my way to Kaede's hut, trying hard to ignore their whispers about my strange eyes; it was something that I was kind of used to, but it still annoyed me to no end. Finally under the protection of the hut's roof, I began to tend the fire so it would be nice and warm for the others when they come back, knowing for a fact that Kagome wouldn't dry her hair all the way and probably get sick within a few hours. Once I was done, I rested in the corner which I had dubbed as mine and closed my eyes.

Something wasn't right; it was way too quiet, even if the village was small. I opened my eyes, lazily getting my feet and silently exited the hut, glancing around only to see woman strung up all around, surrounding Inuyasha and a wounded Kaede.

"What the hell?"

Gold eyes shot over to me, almost like a silent accusation. "Finally awake, are you? Could have woke up sooner as these women tried to dice up the old bag."

Without a care, I slinked my way over to them and used a glowing hand to cut the wire-like hair from the unconscious woman that controlled them. "I'm a heavy sleeper," I huffed, easily dodging some of the village women's sloppy swipes of the cooking utensils. "To make things easier, why didn't you just disconnect the hair from them, so they wouldn't attack you."

"Hair?"

I blinked in confusion at the clueless look that the half demon gave me. "You mean, you can't see it?"

"No!" There was a brief eerie silence before Inuyasha noticed something behind me, making me half turn to see what it was.

I scowled. "At least they're not sexist." Inuyasha launched forward, trying to take my advice to disconnect the hair, but was doing nothing more than wasting his energy and getting wrapped up. "Hey, you missed." I called out in a non-helping way.
