It's gaping jaws were at my throat when I was pushed aside, falling and tumbling onto the soft  ground finally landing near  a pile of leaves I lifeted my eyes to check the damage done

My arms were scraped and bruised against the impact of the fall, damn, I was going to get purple bruises tomorrow. Shit.

But now was not the right time,  I didn't care for any of that except the warning in my head to run away. I looked to my right when I felt something soft nudge my arm. My mouth felt parched, and I had to spit out a few leaves that got tangled into my hair, but when I turned around,  the animal whip around to face me.

I gasped. because, there, right in front of me stood the most humongous dirty, chestnut wolf I have ever seen.

The wolf reached about up to my thighs and it's length was the size of a bike. His fur was muddied around the back.... and his fur was messy and ragged.

It wasn't a pretty sight.

The wolf was something unlike the regular wolves I have seen in catalogs and National Geographic magazines. He made a German Sheppard look like a guppy next to a dolphin( with huge fangs)!  Who knew that was possible! I saw to the side of me the deer shuffling; it seemed that he was urging me to escape with the tilting of her head.

It must have been him who pushed me away. At least one of us had a sense to panic, I  was completely in shock. Once, I had an encounter with a black bear before; but that was when my father was there. It was the days of when I used to go camping and loved the outdoors so much, I pracically jumped at every chance. But one day, I was limited to going camping and all kinds of woodsy activities.

As I looked on further at the wolf, the wolf seemed almost deranged. Shockingly, the wolf's fur shined in the sunlight, making it look glowing. He looked almost beautiful... but even more frightening. It was as if something surrounded him.

The wolf crouched down on his legs, his whole body held tense and shaking. His eyes looked dilated, you can almost see no whites, it was wholly black. The wolf was something out of a horror movie, all vicious looking, and had a malicious air around him.  His eyes was burning a hole in my mind. The wolf snarled almost forcefully and forcing me to be the weak one

His eyes was a color I would never  ever forget in  my life... if I survive.

Flashes likes clips of a memory came piercing at my mind. The weather that day was horrible, the rain was pouring heavily....... and the one thing that was the worst of all.... was my father 's eyes...... it was like glaring daggers. The wolf's eyes  held the same cold intensity .

Something menacing........Hunger

Chills and Goosebumps ran down my spine, rising up on my arms.  Emotions crashed down on me like ice-cold water. The feeling was something I haven't felt in a long...long time.

I wanted to run screaming "Danger, Danger" like the little girl  in my mind but I was frozen to the ground. And that was just immature, hehe, but I was still pondering that idea. I looked right to left; there was an expanse of trees, but no escape route.

I squinted my eyes at a small gap between the trees  to find--oh. My. God. There, a miracle above all, was a telephone booth. On to more important affairs, I glared at the wolf for a second.

I was tempted to copy the movies by saying Nice kitty, but was afraid that the wolf might want to chew my head of before it leaves my mouth.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I looked up to see the wolf's eyes gleaming with malicious light. It seemed that the wolf was closer to me than before.

As I looked more closer to the wolf before me, It opened its jaws.... showing me his jagged and dirty teeth. The teeth was the color of dirty yellow... like white dirtied so much it changed color. I took a step back....

He smiled.

Such a disturbing sight.

I was frightened of what he would do to me. The images of my  tumbling end were coursing through my mind.  The wolf stepped closer.... crouching lower as if in anticipation as his eyes followed  my every movement. I felt my body tense, as ideas were filling through my head. There was nothing at the moment coming up, my stomach clenched.

He snarled .

He took a step closer, and closer as I took a step back and another step back. He stepped closer, the leaves at our feet crunched together, making a lot of noise.

The leaves reached a little higher up to his legs. The noise seemed to be bothering him, so he stopped where he was and using his paws, pushing the leaves aside away from his body. Doing that, some of the leaves flew up and one of them landed on his nose... and what happened next was funny... if I wasn't in a life-threatening situation--- he sneezed !

I had a little chuckle, but then I remembered where I was... so while he was distracted,  I slowly moved back trying to as silent as possible.  He was either a rookie hunter at the whole 'I'm gonna kill' stage, or he has never seen leaves before. As I kept my eyes on the wolf, I forgot to look at where I was stepping. Because the next thing I knew, I slipped on something and my whole body went completely sideways.

I let out a little shriek as I tried to push up my momentum to fall on my frontside instead  of my backside and the wolf must have heard me because suddenly he wasn't rolling in the leaves anymore.

He launched himself upright, and sauntered forward, his eyes had this creepy red glow. He snarled, the smel was like rotting meat with decayed vomit. I rinkled my he noise at the horrid smell. I tried to push myself slowly but beside me whining came to my ears; I looked to my right and saw the deerpicking up his feet and angling his head in a 'come, this way' movement.  .

I have forgotten about the deer for the whole time. I quietly told her to run, she shook her head and I was warmed at the thought that she would stay behind.

But I yelled harshly, " Go !"   The deer was shocked enough at the impact of my voice that she involuntarily moved  few steps back, with one last look at me and the wolf. ...  she ran.

I was relieved

I turned back to the wolf. He was stepping closer and closer, his jawswide open as he lunged straight at me.

And for the second time of the day, I screamed like hell.
