I pushed myself quickly up, and swished my body to roll myself away from the wolf. But I wasn't quick enough, because, the wolf 's claws slashed at my ankle, causing shooting pains throughout my body. I looked back to see the wolf land on his front legs and then rolled around back to my direction.

I got up as fast as I could and silently backed away, but this time the wolf noticed. He jumped and lunged at me once again to try to pounce on me.

In an instant without me registering, my body just reacted. I lifted my leg up, and like those karate movies I sometimes watched out of boredom, I made a somewhat angled round kick to the wolf 's face.

 Or tired to anyway.

Anyhow, I succeeded in kicking his stomach instead, pushing the wolf two or three meters away from where I stood. I mentally did a small victory dance, and took the chance to escape through the bushes. I heard a vicious snarl behind me, and pumped my legs even faster.

I skidded a little on the muddy grounds and scraped my self on the branches, the thorns made little red streaks alongside my skin.

I winced at the throbbing, but kept on running. However, my legs were cramping under the stress. Behind me I heard the rustling of trees, I looked behind my shoulder to find the wolf chasing me, I looked at my surroundings to see where I could hide and recuperate for a while.

 Ah!

Right there, between two trees was a bush, maybe I could hide in there. I tried to push myself harder, but my legs were buckling under me, I slowed a little and then, told myself, You don't want to be lunch do you?

My pesky little mind replied, well if you run faster we won't be dog food, would we?

That seemed to work to some extent, my body barely made it to the bush, but  I was able to slip myself behind the bush and slid myself down. I pressed my palm to my chest, trying to slow down my heart to not somehow alert the wolf.

I looked up to the sky and saw the sun setting down in the west, it getting pretty late. I wonder if anyone's looking for me.

Hardly, they were all spiteful little witches.  I sighed, in my mind only one person mattered.        Daddy.

But right before this, he was this maniac- crazed man who was about to chop off my head.  His glowing crazed eyes tainted my mind, why would this happen to me, today of all days.   I scrunched up my legs into a sitting position with my legs propped up, I put my head on my arms, and mentally groaned.

Oh when would this nightmare end?

The rustling of trees stopped my train of thoughts. I crept higher, poking my head out just a little, the wolf was twisting his head trying to look for me. He lifted his head high into the air, sniffing. Then he howled.

He swished his head in my direction, and I quickly slid down to my hiding spot, praying that he didnât see me. But the sound of growling entered the air, I shivered at the menace that came out of the sound. The  crunching of leaves increased, louder, louder and then stopped. I clenched my fists tightly against my waist, and tried to stifle my breathing.

Hell, what do I do--

 Shit!

I quickly turned around at the sound of leaves rustling, afraid that the wolf finally found me. I crouched lower to meet the forest floor, my hand on the ground, trying to find anything to use as a barrier against the wolf. I shuffled through all the grass, when I saw a black nose pop from the bushes.

I let out a shaky breath that I hadnât known I had taken as I was prepared to jump.

Just before I could tackle the 'wolf ' to the ground, a deerâs head popped out, shocking me to drop flat out on the forest ground. My butt scraped the dirty, muddied, grass floor.

I looked up at the deer, astounded that she was here. The deer cocked its head to a side and whined softly.

"Jeez! You scared me," I whispered to not attract the wolf to me, I put my hand against my heart to stop the torrent beatings.

"What are you doing here? And where did you come from?"

I looked out from the bushes, but there was no wolf around,"How did you find me? I thought I told you to run! "

Right now, the most important thing was to escape from this place before the wolf comes back.  I pleaded with my eyes and made a "shooing" motion at the deer. But the stubborn male must have been a chauvinist with his own chivalry code, because he whined in disagreement.

I didn't want to get him in danger, or more precisely in the teeth of the wolf 's jaws. He was going to be dead meat. I kind of do not want to be a cause of murder by jaws, for the rest of my life if I could help it.

The sound of growling interrupted my musings; I glanced behind me to see a pair of black eyes staring at me. The wolf has found me, and he was not happy; the deer started whining at the sight.  He immediately pounced in my direction.

I quickly moved out of the way, pushing myself to the right; the deer reared straight up as to thump on the wolf.

But he came out with empty ground, the wolf slide away. The wolf  growled and lunged at the deer, clearly pissed off his rockers now, but before he could reach the deer, he trotted towards  my direction.

Running to catch up, I reached my hands around his neck and twisted my body to jump on him. He bent down and picked was me up onto his back.

I looked behind me to see the wolf trying to catch up. His claws scraping the ground, and as my hands clenched tightly on the deer's neck, which he clearly made a point about that, it felt as of the whole ground was shaking.

As quick as lightning, I felt nipping on my legs and suddenly I was abruptly pulled sideways, I looked down to see the wolf pulling on my leg, he succeeded the first time, but now he was just trying to catch up.

I screamed a little and urged the deer to run faster. But he wasnât fast enough because the wolf lunged and then, pounced on the deer, dragging the deer and me down into the dirty ground,

I tumbled off the deer and immediately hit the ground, my head thumped on the hard patches. From hooded eyes, I saw the wolf growling at the deer, he was clamping his jaws on her neck. I pushed myself up, reached for the closest thing I could find. I looked to my side and saw a thick piece of bark, I hurried to reach for the piece when I heard a moaning noise from the deer.

Swinging a little, unsteady in my feet, I made my way towards the wolf. When I was closed enough, the wolf was clearly full attentive on the deer. I raised my arms and forcefully bashed the piece of bark onto the wolf 's head.

This caused the wolf momentarily stunned and aided the deer enough of a time to escape the wolf 's hold, and maybe as revenge, the deer raised his front legs to stab it towards the wolf 's back.

The wolf toppled over, but he wasn't dead. He gingerly picked himself up. I, on the other hand, pleaded with my eyes for the deer to escape. He shook his hands, but when I made my way to try to 'hit' him, he dodged. He seemed hurt by that, but I only wanted him safe.

"Scram, no one wants you here,"I roared out at him. The deer, startled, back up slowly and then ran off, and before long, he disappeared out of sight.

I looked back to the wolf, he was snarling and, he seemed to be foaming in his mouth. His eyes were completely black, no whites in sight.

I started to run in the opposite direction, near the trees, when I was pushed down by a weighing force. My mouth met with dirt and twigs, my back ached under the tight pressure of the claws. The wolf 's repugnant breath made me think of vomit and blood, adding dog piss together. It was enough to make me vomit.

It was like hell farting in a mouth.

The creaking of my bones were enough to make me back inand out of consciousness.

A howl suddenly came out, the wolf clamped his jaws onto my shoulder. Vibrating shooting pains came on to my mind.

Mommy, seems like I'm going to join you.
