Ginny POV

Our day in Hogsmead was actually quite fun! We went and got some butterbeers to get shelter from the wind, which was slowly picking up. And we sat and chatted. I sat between Blaise and Malfoy. No sooner had we sat down with our butterbeers though, Blaise went to the loo so I was stuck with Malfoy.

"Ummm...sorry....for insulting you" he grumbled

"Which time? or just in general?" I replied, trying not to be too harsh

"Just in general"

"Well, apology accepted" I said grinning

"Why are you so happy all the time?" He questioned me

"What's the point in being miserable?" I said and then not being able to resist myself I said "I'm not like you, I try to see the best in things as opposed to the worst!"

"I don't try to see the worst in things?!"

"Yes you do."

"Be quiet you little blood traitor, don't feel like just because you're pure blood means I have any respect for you or your family. Cos I don't. You're all blood traitors. Disgusting blood traitors." He said with a smirk. Repeating himself to try and provoke me...it was worked.

"You don't even know me." I said "You don't know anything about me! You just judge me on my family. If I judged you on your family I'd say you were a death eater and deserved to be in azkaban with your father. But I'm guessing you're not your father. So don't presume I am my family." I said frowning.

He looked taken aback by that

"I'm not my father."

Just then, Blaise returned,

"Sorry for leaving you guys alone there, but i didn't hear any shouting so I'm guessing you're okay?"

"We're fine!" I said with a grin "Thanks for trying to cheer me up Blaise, you're not as Slytherin as I thought!"

"Thanks!" He smirked "So not back to hating each other then?"

"No, friends?"

"Alright then, if you insist!!" He chuckled "Draco, I've just seen Pansy outside, I think you should talk to her" Malfoy got up and reluctantly walked outside to Pansy, Blaise and I could see them through the window although we couldn't hear what they were saying, Malfoy stormed back in a moment later.

"She refuses to believe me?! Imagine that! I'm trying to be kind and not hurt her feelings and she won't let me break up with her! I'm gonna have to prove it to her somehow that she and I, are over."

Blaise was laughing although I didn't quite know why,

"Right come on, let's leave!" He grinned and guided Malfoy and I to the door. As we walked out I heard Pansy's annoying voice,

"Dray! Draydray!" Her voice suddenly went up an octave "DRACO! Don't ignore me!" He turned around and looked at me

"Sorry" he whispered

"Sorry for wha-" but I was interrupted by him kissing me. He put his hands on my waist and pushed me into the wall of honeydukes. I surprised myself by kissing him back, but as soon as I heard Pansy crying and running off he stopped.

"I had to make her believe me." He said in an attempt to explain his actions.

I surprised myself again, as I grabbed his collar and put my wand to his throat,

"Now listen here Malfoy. I know you wanted to show Pansy that you were over, but that was not the way to do it. I will forgive you this once. Do something like that again and I will make sure you regret it. Understand?"

"Trying to threaten me are we Weasley?"

"Do you understand me?" I said pushing my wand into his throat a bit more,

"Alright alright, I understand!" I let go of him and brushed myself off.

It was then that I noticed Blaise laughing to himself about 2 metres away,

"Well that relationship moved quickly?" He chortled.

I glared at him and I was guessing Malfoy was doing the same.

"Ok...didn't mean to cause any upset...it was just a joke!"

I punched him in the arm and then forgave him. Malfoy just glared at him.

We went to a couple more shops before heading back.

On the way back, Blaise saw a girl he'd been trying to go out with him and ran off to walk with her so I was left alone with Malfoy once more.

Draco POV

"Just you and me then Weasley" I said with a mock grimace. She laughed a bit and we walked on in silence.

It started snowing then, and before long we were walking back in a full on blizzard. It wasn't that unusual for November, but still, we weren't expecting it. She certainly wasn't, she was only wearing a thin cloak, whereas I had brought my favourite winter cloak. Without thinking about it, I took off my cloak and put it on Ginny. And it was then that I first started calling her Ginny.

She was surprised when I put the cloak round her,

"T-t-thank you!" She stuttered "but now you'll be cold!" She looked genuinely worried,

"I've put a heating charm on my jumper so I should be fine" I smiled, and she smiled back, she had a glint in her eye that told me she was up to something. Before I could work out what she was going to do, a snowball hit me straight in the face. I must have looked very shocked because she was in fits of laughter, that was, until I threw one back at her.

Eventually we got back to the castle. She gave me back my cloak and wondered back to the Gryffindor tower, I walked to my room. A smile on my face. The weasley girl wasn't so bad after all. No, Ginny was actually alright. A bit pathetic, but not as annoying as I thought she'd be.
