Draco POV
I could not stop thinking about the youngest Weasley. She had come to me for help, and I agreed! I was helping a Weasley. What would my father say? I couldn't help but laugh at the look on my father's face if her ever found out.
Anyway. I had to find a way to get Potter out. I couldn't even start to think of how I could figure this out. Every time I tried to concentrate, my mind would wonder to that day at Hogsmead where I kissed her. This could not be happening. I could not be falling for a Weasley!! I mean, of course, she was stunning, her red hair flowing down to her waist and her bubbling laughter which was so contagious you couldn't help but smile, even if you had no idea what she was laughing about. But she was still a Weasley and she was a traitor to the purebloods.
After a while of not achieving anything in the common room, I decided it was about time I did my duties, so I put on my cloak and starting walking the rounds. I had just moved up to the second floor when I heard the all too familiar laugh of Ginny Weasley. I walked round the corner to see her hitting Blaize with a book. She was looking disapproving and he had a guilty smile on his face. I couldn't help but feel a tiny bit jealous.
"Blaise. Weasley." They both looked up at my brief greeting.
"Draco! Would you mind awfully telling the redhead over here that it doesn't matter if I pass my care of magical creatures exam because it's not a real subject!"
"If it's not a real subject, why are you retaking the exam?" I smirked,
"You know full well that it is thanks to my mother that I am working doubly hard to pass not only my NEWTs but indeed retake my care of magical creatures OWL! I have been slaving away all week! With not one single break, and so I am finally taking a well deserved break and Miss Weasley over here is insisting that I complete my 10 inch essay for care of magical stupid creatures!!"
I blinked twice. It only just hit me that the Weasley had somehow found her way into our lives. She, the youngest child of a family of nutters who were the most disgusting kind of pureblood, had managed to become almost a daily occurrence in my life. Unreal.
"You ok there Draco?" Blaise interrupted my thoughts,
"What?" I said a little too loudly,
"You've been standing there, almost stunned for about 10 minutes..." He said laughing,
"Ah yes, sorry, got distracted. Get on with your essay, you really need to pass this exam. Now if you don't mind, I'm a little busy" and I walked off, not going to embarass myself any further!!
I got back to my dorm as frustrated as when I left. Why couldn't I get her off my mind? That's when I thought of it! Of course! I just needed to distract myself, with some other girl! I decided to walk outside for a bit, I would pick some girl and just kiss her. She wouldn't mind. I mean, who wouldn't want to kiss me? And that way I could forget about silly Ginny Weasley!
I braced myself as I opened the doors to the outside and a gush of cold air hit me. I walked quickly in the direction of the lake. Right. Pick someone draco. Just pick someone. Any girl would do. I turned around the corner and without thinking about it, I grabbed her. I grabbed her and I kissed her. It didn't matter who she was. Anyone would do! Anyone. I opened my eyes. Anyone but her. Ginny Weasley looked stunned. She blinked once. And looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes. Before I knew what I was doing I had grabbed her by the waist and kissed her again...
