*flashback*
"His name was Ashton, and he was 3 years older than you" He sighed heavily. " What did he look like?" I asked. "He had long light brown hair, greenish brown eyes, and was pretty tall." He said smiling.
"Well kiddo, I'll see you later, are you sure you don't want to eat dinner with us?" I shook my head. "There will be tons of good food and-" "Dad, I want to know what's happening to me" I said seriously.
He gulped,"Uh..." Then he sat down on the edge of my bed and his shoulders slumped. "I knew I'd have to tell you someday..."

My eyes widened to the size of a tennis ball when my Dad had told me what I was.
"Woah, so I'm like a werewolf?" I asked excitingly. "I guess you could say that," my father laughed "but we like to call people like you OutCasts."
"Is that a bad thing?" I pondered, after the way my Mum reacted I figured it was something horrible.
"Of course not," my father smiled, he truly did have the best smile in the world."It just means you're special."
I nodded and looked down at my suddenly depressing floor."Well, I've got to get going, are you 100% sure you don't want to go?"
I thought about it for a while, then a wide grin grew across my face. "I think I'll stay here for a while, I need some time to rest you know?"
Suddenly worried about how happy I became, especially about going to "sleep" my dad said "Okay, if you say so, I love you" he then kissed my forehead and left, closing the door behind him.
I hopped off my race car bed and looked into my mirror, which had bits and pieces missing from its glass surface. "Hi," I said to the mirror "My name is Calum, and I'm an outcast."
From that moment on, I knew my life had truly changed.
