The So Called Witch

Chapter 10

Athena gave odette another weary glance, not sure whether odette's silence is a good thing or not

They have been walking for the past fifteen minutes in there way to the castle, and yet, odette hadn't spoken a word yet

"Are you okay?" Athena finally asked, tired of her new friend being silent, she wanted to know what she was thinking

Last time, she was able to hear everything inside odette's head, but now, it's as if something was stopping her from entering her head again

"Uh, y-yeah, just a bit shocked about this whole thing" She ended with a tired sigh

"It's just everything is happening so fast, one minute I was living in the castle working nonstop, my mother and her husband abusing me with words and sometimes hit-" she immediately stopped talking, a lump forming in her throat, her tears threatening to escape

Suddenly Athena pulled her into her shoulder, holding her

"It's okay, I know this is all too sudden, and what you have been through in the past is so much for you to handle, but just forget it Okay?" Athena asked, her words muffled by odette's hair in her face

Odette slowly started to calm down and slowly relaxed, giving Athena the hint to let go

"Now, let's forget everything tonight and let's go have a sleepover in my room, I'm sure my maid, Mary, would love to join too" Athena said smiling happily

"O-okay" Odette replied, a bit shocked that a princess was asking her, a maid, to come and have a sleepover

And just like that, the two young girls made their way towards the castle, making sure to not be seen and caught

Once they were safely in their chambers, they let out a sigh of relief at arriving at Athena's room without any problems

"Mary! Come here! We have a guest!" Athena called out to her maid

Not after a couple of minutes, Mary was standing right in front of them, hands crossed, waiting for a explanation from the princess

"Would you kind to explain some stuff first? Cause I'm really confused right now" she said, sitting across from odette and the princess, a bit weary of what's to come, giving Odette a small glance

And so just like that, the princess told her what happened and what she and odette actually are, she left out the part where Lilian comes tho, she just felt it wasn't the right moment to tell everything

The rest of the night was spent with giggles and pillows fights, although that happened way after they all got comfortable with each other
