He was crying and I didn't like it. His eyes had stopped glowing completely and the green I'd started to notice once in a while when the light hit right was apparent. They were foggy and full of agony. I glanced at the dragon who shrugged. He looked helpless like a newborn baby left in a field out of danger but scared. I kneeled next to him and pulled him into my arms letting his tears soak my shirt.

"Shh it's alright I won't let you die" I say.

He was clutching desperately to me but I could feel his grip slipping. He couldn't be dying right. His breath was becoming shallow. He inhaled sharply then his grip fell and he collapsed against me. My voice rang through the hell with a scream of pure agony.
