Ty

I sighed giving Adam a kiss on the cheek before he left for work. His smile lit up the last few places where my grumpiness was hiding. I blushed slightly as he headed out the door. I walked to the kitchen where he'd washed the dishes in the dishwasher last night. I unloaded it putting dishes and silverware where they belonged then went downstairs to start laundry.

"Hey there fluffy" I said scooping up me and Adam's cat. It almost instantly started purring.

"Mew" it replied and head butted my chest gently.

I grin spread across my face and I gently set the cat down. I scooped up a load of laundry from the pile I was tackling. I set it in the washer adding some soap closing the lid then starting the load. I began folding the clean laundry setting it in piles for me and Adam.

Now most people would say that it's stupid for me to do all the work around the house but it's different when I see Adam come home his hair messed up from running his fingers through it. How shaky he is because of stress and how his eyes are dull from fatigue. That's why I do all the work around the house. It's because Adam can't do it himself. He sometimes falls asleep during dinner so I carry him to his room and tuck him in goodnight but every morning he wakes me up with a large grin and every night he comes home with a soft smile.

Adam came home that night tireder than ever. He was staggering like a drunk but I could tell he wasn't by the way his eyes sparkled. He looked up at me and I set the laundry basket down with my last loud. He smiled at me ever so slightly. I sprinted over to him and hug him. I set my hand on his forehead gently.

"Come on Adam you're going to bed and I'm calling your office. You can't go in tomorrow" I say.

"Ty our lives" Adam whines. Yeah he was delusional.

"Will be fine if you miss a few days." I replied and led him to his room tucking him into his bed. After some time of me sitting there rubbing his side he started to sound more like Adam.

"Ty, I'm sorry I got sick" he says.

"Shh it's alright" I replied.

"Are you sure Ty I mean this adds more work to your day" Adam replies.

"Yes Adam I'm positive now try and get some sleep I'll leave you to that" I say and stood walking out of the room.
