The next morning, I woke up, and found a schedule on my dresser. I read it, my nose wrinkling in disgust, as I saw all of them had something to do with being good and not evil, or how to be nice. I sighed, adjusting my eyeliner, then threw on a Metallica tank top, ripped black skinny jeans, my black combat boots, and my spiked leather jacket. Right as I went to open my bedroom door, a knock sounded on it, and confused, I pulled it open, then stared in surprise. Evie smiled a tiny bit, and said,"Hey..Uh..Mind if I come in?" A bit wary, I nodded, and moved out of the way, shutting the door behind her. She looked around the room, and whispered,"Wow. It's totally you, Hecate. It matches your personality." I resisted to urge to roll my eyes. "I didn't think you or the others ever really got to know my personality..Guess I was wrong." She looked down, and said,"Hecate, about what happened on the Isle-" I stiffened, and said,"I get it. Okay? I get that I'm not some Prince Charming in a castle, or happy and calm all the time. It's fine..I just don't get why you all stopped being my friends. You were my best friend, Evie, and I thought that meant something to you, too. But you left me alone."

She looked both angry and sad, and replied,"Maybe if you weren't more evil than all the villains put together, we could still be friends. But when you tried to kill Mal, your own sister, that crossed a line." I shouted,"You have no idea what it's like, Evie! None of you do! Your parents hurt and used you, but they didn't-" I stopped, noticing the blue flames creeping up my jacket, and realised I had almost said too much. That always happened around Evie, even on the Isle. She always got me worked up, in more ways than one. She looked confused, and asked,"What? They didn't what, Hecate? What did your dad do?" I shrugged, shutting down my emotions again, and said,"Nothing. Never mind. I gotta get to class. Tell the others hey for me, won't you, Princess?" She opened her mouth to say something, and I took off, running to my first class, already wanting my work for my dad to be over, so I could get away from Evie, and the others. I groaned, as I saw Mal, Carlos, Jay, and Evie were the only ones in the class with me, and plopped down in a seat far in the back. They all turned to look at me, and Evie whispered something to them, that made them keep looking back at me. I sighed, trying to pay attention to the lesson, so I could act like a goody two shoes, but couldn't with them doing that. "Hey, guys, you know I can see you, right? Maybe you should take a picture. It'll last longer."

Evie blushed, and I could swear I saw the flash from a phone camera, before they turned back around. They were planning something, I was sure, but they had no idea what I was planning. And oh, the revenge would be sweet when my plan worked, and my curse was lifted. After that class was lunch, and I headed to the lunch line, not noticing as some preppy girls silently followed me. When it was my turn, I got chocolate milk, an apple, a chocolate chip cookie, and what I assumed was a sandwich. I shrugged, and took a seat at an empty table, extremely hungry. I was so busy thinking about eating, that I didn't hear the preppy girls come up behind me. And I certainly wasn't prepared for my chocolate milk to be poured onto my shirt, and my tray dumped on the ground. The whole eating area went silent, as I sat frozen in shock, the milk soaking through my tank top. I slowly looked up, as the girls began laughing, and the leader said,"Go find a dark, shady place to eat, freak. Don't you like those places?" I stood up, trying to contain my anger, and whispered,"Yes, I do..Because they're not full of annoying, stuck up girls like you." Anger shot through her features, and she said,"I'm the daughter of Sleeping Beauty, my name is Audrey, and I am not a stuck up girl. I just know that you're not wanted here. And I heard that your dad doesn't even visit you except once or twice a year..Guess he doesn't want you, either." I admit that part about my dad was true, but that didn't make it hurt less. And granted, I didn't want to be there any more than they wanted me to be there, but it still stung badly.  I was still trying to control my fury, and hurt, and I said,"True.." She smirked, and continued,"Your sister doesn't like you, and. I know you have a crush on Evie, but she rejected you and has a boyfriend now. Oh, and for the record, you should be stuck in Tartarus all year long."

That bit about Mal and Evie did the trick, and I heard Carlos nearby, saying,"Uh oh..Her hair is doing that thing again. You know, the blue fire before she tries to kill everyone thing." I shook with anger, and Audrey actually started looking scared, as blue flames raced up my whole body. "You wouldn't dare hurt me on school grounds. They'll kick you out!" I said,"Try me.." She shrieked a tiny bit, and ran off, and I started to follow her. Suddenly, arms covered in purple leather grabbed tightly around my waist, holding me in place, and instantly, my temper shot up about ten notches. "Let go, Mal! Don't touch me!!" Mal quickly let go, and I stiffened, as familiar arms took her place, and Evie whispered in my ear,"Calm down, Hecate. It's okay.." Almost immediately, the blue flames on my body went out, and I shook in her arms, before yanking away. I whispered,"Just leave me alone, Evie. Please.." I walked off, keeping my face aimed at the ground, so none of them would see the tears sliding down my cheeks..I sat down in a little garden I found, and sniffled, feeling weak and stupid for crying. A butterfly landed on my hand, and I just stared at it for a minute, before it flew away. I sighed, and whispered,"You don't know how lucky you are..To be free, and fly away from your pain." I closed my eyes, and just started crying, alone and hurting..

Evie's P.O.V.

I looked at Mal, confused, and asked,"What?!" Mal sighed, and repeated,"Hecate is up to something, and we'd better find out what, before she hurts someone." I wasn't quite sure why, but I felt offended on Hecate's behalf. "M, you can't just assume that she came here to hurt people. True, she tried to kill you, and hurt a lot of people on the Isle, but maybe she really is trying to be good. Remember how everyone felt the way you do about us, when we first came here? Maybe you just haven't given her a chance." Mal stared at me like I completely lost my mind, which I was beginning to feel I had. "E, you don't know her..Not like I do. From the minute she was born, she was evil. And she always wanted what I had. And now, she shows up and starts wanting to change? I don't think so." I shook my head, and sighed, brushing blue strands out of my eyes, and told her,"Okay, maybe you're right. But what are we gonna do if you are?" She shrugged, and replied,"Whatever it takes, E. Even if that means getting Zeus to banish her to the Underworld all year."

Carlos held up his hands, and said,"Whoah, time out. We're talking about locking Hecate up like a wild animal.. Like my Mom did to me. I don't know if I can do that, guys. I mean, sure, she's pretty evil, but taking away her freedom? I don't know, man." Jay said,"I'm down. The second we know she's doing something, we can banish her ourselves. We don't need Zeus..We've got Mal, and a picture of Hecate, and the spell book." I glared at him, and said,"Oh, that's why you wanted me to take a picture of her. Thanks for including me in your plans, guys." Jay told me,"We just figured you wouldn't help if you knew what we were doing. I mean, come on..You have to admit, you and Hecate have a past, and the way she calmed down when you told her to proves that she still feels that way about you." I felt a blush creep up my cheeks, and said,"Know what? I'm going to go find her, and prove that you're wrong about her. And I don't like girls, okay?? I have Doug, and he's funny, sweet, and adorable." I turned on my heel, and stormed off, looking for Hecate..
