I smirked, walking through the streets of the Isle, loving it, as every person I passed ran out of my way. I guess that's what being the daughter of Hades gets you; both respect and fear. I swiftly slid my hand into a man's coat as he passed, and snatched his wallet, humming as I found enough coins inside to buy myself some lunch from Ursula's place. Fish and chips might not sound nice, but when you don't have much else, it works. I made my way to the restaurant, shoving Gil, the son of Gaston, and laughed as he hit the water hard."Shouldn't have been in my way, dude. When I'm walking, you move, or else you get burned." Blue flames danced along my fingers, and Gil immediately began apologizing, then ran inside, probably to hide behind Uma or Harry like he always did. I slowly walked inside, all laughter and conversation stopping instantly, and Uma looked up from the table she was waitressing."Well, well, if it isn't Hecate! To what do I owe this..Annoying pleasure?" I plopped myself in a chair, propping my feet on the table, and sighed."Just here to eat, Uma..And the only annoying thing in here is you." A huge tentacle snaked out from the back room, and gave me a high five, Ursala's laugh sending a tiny chill up my spine. I sighed, raising an eyebrow, as Uma glared with fury at me."Be careful, Uma..Your face might get stuck like that. Though it would probably be an improvement..I want my usual, if you don't mind." I tossed the coins on the table, and she muttered several curse words at me, picking them up. "Right away, your Majesty." I stiffened, knowing full well she was trying to push my buttons, and whispered,"Watch your mouth, or I might have a fish fry for dinner, with you as the main course.." A chorus of "Ooh" went through the restaurant, and I snatched the coins away from her."I think I'll take my business elsewhere tonight." She yanked her hand back, as I burned it, and Harry appeared, drawing his sword.

I curled my fingers, instantly feeling cool steel slide into them, and Harry froze."You wouldn't use Soul Stealer on little old us, would you now, Hecate?" I raised the scythe in my hand, and it morphed into a sword."I just might..But then again, I have better things to do." The sword disappeared, and I whistled, walking out of the restaurant, and headed for the abandoned building I lived in alone. I felt someone following me, but chose to ignore it, figuring Uma might have sent some of her idiotic crew after me. I went inside my house, and plopped into my blue leather recliner, propping my feet up, and closed my eyes. I heard the door creak open quietly, and pretended to be asleep, my senses on high alert. I listened to the creaking floorboards, as footsteps made their way towards me, and grabbed a hand before it could touch my shoulder. A man's voice said,"Well, now..You're wide awake, I see." I opened my eyes, and froze, as I saw my father looking down at me, his loyal lackeys Pain and Panic on either side of him. "Dad?" He glared down at me, blue flames shooting up his body."Do not call me that foul word, Hecate!! I've told you several times, and I loathe repeating myself!" My face stung a bit, as he slapped me, his rings slicing my cheek a little, but I didn't flinch, simply muttering,"Sorry..It just slipped out." He sighed, the flames dying down, and said,"I have a job for you, my daughter. An important one." I got a bit excited, and smiled."What, exactly, is this job? Killing innocents? Stealing from the orphanage?" Both of those were fun and simple, and happened to be some of my favorite pastimes. He shook his head, and whispered,"Good guesses, but no. It's something only one like you can do..I need you to go to Auradon Prep." I blinked, taken aback, and replied,"Wait..What?!" He nodded, and I groaned.

He said,"There's a reason, Hecate. As always, when I send you to do something. I want you to convince your sister to come home, and live with us..And I want you to steal the souls of all the goody two shoes students there..You can store them in Soul Stealer, and bring them to me. With them, we can rule over both the Isle and Auradon, together. You, Mal, and I..All will bow before us. And with the power of the souls, I can also reclaim my throne on Mount Olympus, and show my brother Zeus what happens when you banish me to the Underworld." I sighed, and muttered,"Us..He banished us. As much as I love people screaming, and skeletons, and death, I also love the Isle. His curse allows me to only come to the Isle once a month, and the rest I spend in Tartarus..So if this will help break that curse, I'm in. But won't the curse keep me from going to Auradon, where I would spend every day?" He smirked, and replied,"My brother agrees that you should go, since so many other children have gone there and changed their ways. So our plan should go smoothly..The limo should be arriving shortly, so I would pack if I were you." I muttered,"Auradon will never know what hit it when I get there. So many souls to steal.." My father stopped in the doorway, and said,"Darkness lies inside all of us, my dear..But your heart is darker than most. Do not fail me, Hecate. You know what happens if you fail." He left, and I began shoving clothes and various items into my backpack covered with spikes, skull print, and chains, thinking about Auradon. I took Soul Stealer, whose real name was Kronos, named after the Titan lord, and turned it into a skull shaped necklace, pulling it on. "Let the fun begin.."
