Chapter 8

Tyler's pov.

Waking up I rub my eyes to see that I was still holding Dawn. Grabbing my phone out of my pocket I look at the time. Its 4:30 in the morning and i'm exhausted as well. I guess I have been on guard trying to protect Dawn so much I was neglecting my sleeping as well.

Sliding out of Dawn's grip I walk over to the window to see how bad the weather is. There is a storm tonight so hopefully it doesn't affect Dawn but I already know it will. Looking out I see a figure standing there with a knife. I could easily tell it was Daniel by the way the figure was standing.

Running over to Dawn I pick her up and run to the living room holding her tightly to me. Sitting her on the couch covering her up trying not to wake her up. I run to the security system and make sure it is on and activated.

Pushing the button an alarm goes off as all the boys with mom and dad come running down the stairs alarmed. Dawn screams as tears roll down her cheeks as she was covering her ears. I could tell she was shaking and scared of what was going on.

I run to the bookshelf and grab the silver case unlocking it and pulling out my gun. I will not let that fucker come in here. No matter what happens nobody is going to touch Dawn or cause her any more harm.

"Tyler what is going on?" Dad asks rubbing his eyes with authority in his voice sending shivers down my spine.

"Daniel is outside and he has a knife. He's coming for Dawn now dad." I say running to the door making sure its locked.

Going to the window I ignore everyone as I see Daniel walking towards the house with a smile on his face. Opening the window I fire my gun at Daniel giving him a warning shot. I'm not sure if I hit him or not due to the lack of vision.

Dawn's pov.

Waking up to the sound of the alarm scared me like no other. Tyler tells everyone that Daniel is outside with a knife. He's finally coming for me and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Fear is the only thing I feel when I think of Daniel.

The thunder is getting louder and with every boom I jump scared from the noise. My body starts to shiver and shake as mom comes over and hugs me. Sinking into her arms trying to make myself as little as possible.

"He's coming for me." I cry on moms shoulder and say in between sobs knowing that a panic attack was rising.

"Baby he isn't gonna come near you." Henry says rubbing my back as I nod trying to calm down as I walk to Tyler looking outside. Tyler only fired off one shot for a warning. Daniel is standing there looking at me with an evil smirk.

He picks up his phone as mine starts to ring. Answering it my hand is shaking from fear not sure what was gonna happen next.

Dawn: Hello?
Daniel: Ah hello my beautiful Dawn. Tell your brother to put the gun down or I blow up the whole house. Trust me you don't know what I am capable of slut.

"Put the gun down Tyler. He has the whole house rigged with a bomb. He said he will blow up the house if you don't put the gun away." I say as my voice cracks and Tyler throws the gun out the window.

Daniel: Ah good job. Now have your new daddy deactivate the system now!
Dawn: Okay.

"Dad deactivate the system please." Tears fall down my face as Henry walks over pushing buttons on the security system box deactivating the system as I shake in fear.

All my brothers tense up with their hands clenched into a fist and anger on their faces. Please Daniel don't hurt my family. That's all I can ever think about right now.
