Hermione's Pov. 

My eyes are groggy and sore yet I try to open them anyway. Feeling floods into my body and I gasp in pain. 

'Hermione?' 

'Hermione!' 

'Bitch' I open my eyes to the last calling. Ronald Weasley stood over me nonplussed. 'What I saved your life you owe me' Everyone turned and glared at Ron but my reply- 'Thanks' threw him off a bit. 

'Hermione' A soft voice said. Looking to my left was Harry. I looked away. It was too awkward. 

'Hermione! It's good to have my best friend back!' I am assuming Harry told no one what happened then? 

'Hey Gin' I was actually happy to see her. It's nice that I can pretend that they actually care for me. Especially when I have no one else. 

'Oh Mione we missed you' She leans over and gives me a hug. I feel... Wanted and loved. Something I think my family failed to give me. 

'So what happened Hermione?' Ron asked. Harry looks at him curiously as if trying to work out if he is being genuine. 

'I... Uh... Can't remember' I look over at Harry who nods and smiles. 

'Harry?' Ron asks. 

'Her parents aren't so nice and kicked her out because she brought me to come and see her father. She fell down the flights of stairs because her cousin Draco pushed her.' Harry says this and I relax. Harry is okay. 

'I knew Malfoy is a bastard. For a moment their I thought Hermione had kidnapped Harry and turned her in or something' Ron joked and Ginny laughed. Harry looks at me and I look away awkwardly. He laughs too. 

'No, Hermione is better than that' My heart began to race, he believes in me? 

'Alright than Hermione we are going to leave you alone, coming Ron, Harry ?' Ginny calls. 

Ron followers her but Harry stays. 

'You covered for me.' I say surprised. Harry gives a gentle laugh and sits on the side of the bed. 

'I hear people do stupid things for the ones they love....' Harry tells me. 

'Oh Harry'

'Hermione! Good to see you!' Draco says when I walk in the common room. 

'Fuck off.' I say and sit down in the sofa with a sigh. 

'What no thanks?' He questions sitting next to me. 

'Thanks for what?' I ask. 

He looks at me as if I gave grown another head. Maybe I have. Haven't seen myself in the mirror for a while. 

'Saving your life?' He tells me. Huh? No. 

'That was Ron.' 

'Of course he would take all the credit to himself, I was the one who let him in.' Draco said and sighed. 

'Ah, who else knows?' I say. 

'Ginny. Helps keep up the act' Draco tells me. 

'Actually about that. If you don't like her, drop her. This act is only going to hurt people.' I say. 

'Huh ? No! Hurting Weaslette means hurting the Weasleys and they have been causing my father hassle for years' 

'Draco it's wrong!' I try to reason with him. 

' And you were the one who encouraged me. You can't say anything!'

I sit humming at 9pm on a desk in an old classroom. On my own just waiting. The cobwebs cover the corners of this room and it hadn't been used for years. I found it just by accident when sneaking into the library late at night once. I have only told Harry about it and speaking of him, he should be here now. 

A loud rustle and I hold my breath and a body steps through. 

'Harry!' I call and I run over to him and wrap my arms around him. He chuckles and holds me. Than I tense and pull away handing him a ball of paper. 

'You said I am better, but I don't know how.' I say. 

Dear Hermione 

When I found out what happened I was horrified. You have disappointed me to no end and I am ashamed to call you my daughter. This is also partly my fault to, I should of known you would of gotten attached. Which is why I am going to be clearing to the mess I made. You have 10 days to hand the boy over to me and on that 10th day if he is not here, than Bellatrix will be sent. You know how she likes to torture the ones who have disappointed me. 

Father. 

'I... He means he will send Bellatrix after me?' Harry asks. 

'Yes... I... Am sorry you said I could be better but I don't know how...' I feel backed into a corner. 

' No it's okay. I have a plan. Listen to this... '
