'Not a good liar'

Will was usually pretty quick in eating his dinner, He loved food, One of his dream jobs would be a food taster, He even daydreamed once about swimming in a pool of chocolate, However his mind was else where tonight, Joyce had eaten quick and rushed out the door for her late shift at her new job at the local movie theatre and It left just Will and El, Jonathan was also still at work and wouldnt be home for another hour, Will had his fork in his hand as he played with a leftover green pea on his plate, El had been watching him, She was curious as to why he was just playing with it and not eating it, She had finished long before him, Will focus was on the pea though not her, El soon faked a cough, Will then snapped out of it.

"Huh?"

El giggled slightly at him, Will shock his head to wake himself up a bit more, He then put his fork down on the plate.

"Sorry" Will didnt really know why he was sorry, He just didnt really know what to say in this situation, El shock her head.

"Sorry for playing with a pea?" El said with a hint of sarcasim in her voice, Will just flashed a smile at her.

"Well it was staring at me, I hate it when they stare" Will joked back as El then laughed at him, Genuine laughter too, which made Will happy to see it.

El could tell something was up with Will, But she wasnt sure how to ask him, This was a new thing to her, But she wanted to try her best, she then went for it.

"Is everything ok Will? Your very quiet" El asked him, Will looked to her and then rubbed his neck, Will couldnt exactly tell her he had gained a liking towards Richie Tozier, Will had been struggling enough to deal with his sexuality yet alone deal with a crush on a boy at the same time, Will was also sure, El wouldnt understand it, She had yet to kind of experince a boy liking a boy scenario, She had only seen male and female couples, Like her and Mike, Max and Lucas and Nancy and Jonathan, She hadn't seen anyone else really.

"Just thinking about school stuff, Its not big deal El" Will told her as he poked his fork into the green pea and finally put it into his mouth, El tilted her head and gave him a seirous look, Will knew what was coming.

"Friends dont lie.." She told him.

He was right, She saw straight through his lie, Will underestimated her, Will sighed as he put his fork down on his plate.

"Ok, I'm sorry for lying-" Will started off as El listened. "Its just-" Will didnt know how to put it into words, Especially to El, He would have to explain quite a bit knowing she might get confused.

"Just what Will?" She whispered to him as she flashed him a tiny smile.

Will knew she wouldnt think different of him If he told her, But he was more afraid of what others would think, Would they ignore him, Hurt him for being who he is, He had it in Hawkins from Troy and back then he wasnt thinking about his sexuality at all.

"Ok well we are like brother and sister now" Will told her as El nodded with raise of her eyebrow at him. "Ok how do i put this" Will rubbed his hands together in thought, He then went with it and just went with the easy explaination.

"Ok well, I think i have a crush" Will said quietly to her, It was as if he didnt want anyone else to hear them, Yet they were the only two in the house now, El kept her eyebrow raised at him but she looked quite confused by what he said.

"Who did you crush Will?" El gave a funny face in confusion and Will couldnt help but let out a small chuckle under his breath.

"No No El, I didn't crush anyone dont worry" Will laughed once more as El then nodded yet she still looked confused, Hopefully she wouldnt be for much longer, Will hoped.

"What i meant to say was-" Will breathed in. "I like someone.." Will was surprised as El then began to nod her head not once but twice, She then smiled brightly.

"I like a few people too" El responded, Will was now confused.

"Huh? What about Mike?" Will quickly replied to her.

"What about him? I Love Mike"

"Yeah but you said-" Will then clicked on what she might have thought he meant, Will couldnt help but smile again, He then nodded to himself.

"You thought i meant like as in people i get on with?" Will asked her, He got his answer as she gave him a gentle nod and another small smile.

"Yes, thats what i thought you meant, Sorry.." El then looked down thinking she had screwed up but Will felt his heart drop at her face which should she felt bad, Will was quick to reassure her.

"El No, You haven't screwed up at all, You just got a bit confused, Don't be sad" Will told her, El's head slowly rose back up to look at him, Will smiled at her, She returned one back.

"Ok well what i meant to say was-"

Then El put her hand up as if to stop him. "Hold on, I need to go-" El pointed towards the hall, Will was confused.

"The hallway?"   

El's cheeks went red, She was embrassed to say, But she had to correct his guess.

"No, I need to go-" She then whispered the last part. "Pee.." She faked a tiny smile, Will then playfully slapped his own face.

"Oh! Sure don't let me stop you" Will told her, Still with red in her cheeks, El jumped up, She headed for the bathroom, Leaving Will sighing to himself.

"How hard could it be to tell her i like boys"
