chapter 3:Promises

** at home **

I pull up at my house and get out of my car, I lock it and walk to the front door with my bags and knock on the door. I wait about 2 minutes when it finally opens and my mum stands there with a smile printed on her face.
"So hunny how was it" she asked
"It was great mum" I told her her smile grew bigger, "that's amazing to here". "Mum I'm actually going to hang out with a friend" I say, she turns around "really omg sweeties that's even better u made friends"she spoke more happy than ever, "I know I'm excited too" I smile.

I walked up to my room and open my closet I take off my clothes I had on for school and put them in the laundry, I rummage through my closet and look through I pick out leggings and a white v shaped body suit with a ripped denim jacket. I put everything on and take my hair out from it's pony tail . A buzz vibrated in my pocket it was jasmine

Jasmine: hey girl I'm now about to leave.

Me: don't be silly I'll pick u up

Jasmine: oh ok cool here's my address
23 docking street

Me: ok be there in 10 jas x

I shut my phone off and run down the stairs I pick up my keys and purse and walk over to my mum in the kitchen. " u now leaving hunny?" she softly spoke "yea mum is that alright with you ?" I asked, "of course it is" she smiled. "Thanks I'll see u later ma" I say as I give her a quick squeeze. I run out the door and to my car. I drive off without looking for Zane .shortly after I pull up at a little neighborhood about 10 minutes away from mine. I get out and knock on the door, it swings open and standing there is a boy I don't recognise "um hey is jasmine here?" I speak, "yep shes now coming" he said. "Jake who are you talking to too" I heard jasmine scream from upstairs. "Your hot friend" he yells back and turns to look at me, I look away from him with a light shade of red dusted on my cheeks and look past him i see jasmine running down the stairs. "Jake moveeeee" she pushes him, I laugh "don't be mean to your big brother" he speaks. She rolls her eyes and walks forward I walk away with her "bye" I say.

"That's your brother ?" , "unfortunately yes" she sighs I laugh. "The mall then"I say "yesssss" she responds. "That's good because I need new clothes and stuff" I smiled . "Oh I can help you !" Jasmine suggested,
"Duhhh" I agreed. We laughed.

*15 minutes later*

"We are now here jas" I yelled "yes kenzie i can see" she replied sarcastically i rolled me eyes smiling. "I'll go get the parking ticket" I insisted "ok".

I got out of the car and got my purse, I walked over the the ticket machine and payed 3 euros for 3 hours. Im glad I met jasmine she's the nicest person I've met so far i don't know if I should tell her about zane. Ugh he isn't important I don't need to mention him. I'm just glad to have an amazing friend already.

I walked back to the car and just in the distant a black car drove into a spot 3 paces back, I squinted my eyes and saw a bunch of boys, I rolled my eyes and hurried to the car.

**jasmines POV **

Kenzies going to get the parking ticket, I'm glad to be friends with her she seems so nice and kind but a sassy one .

I still can't believe she defended me like that at school, no ones ever done that she's a keeper , I'm glad we're friends. She's turned around and now walking back I see her glance back behind the car I turn my head, a car is parked 3 spots back with a bunch of boys sitting there, oh no.

**back to kenzie**

i Open the door, "um jas let's hurry to the mall quickly" I said nervously , "Yh gd idea" jas replied.
I laid the ticket on the counter and locked the door ignoring the car behind us. "Wow this is a big mall" I say in shock, "ikr you will love it" we both laugh. A minute later I hear a whistle coming from behind I'm not sure if jasmine could hear it but I start to pace up anyway , she follows. I stop as I enter the mall. I sighed. "So where u want to go" she asks, "I don't mind let's go over there" I point. We smile and walk off.

**3 hours later **

"10 tops and 9 bottoms and 4 dresses plus some accessories I'm done for another 6 months" I say we both laugh, " wow I only got 3 outfits" she says. "You wanna go get food?" She says again, "yes I'm starving where should we go?" I ask. "Taco Bell?" Jas speaks "Yh sure".

We walk up to the counter and order. "I'll pay" I comment, "no no u don't need to" she defends "nope I got this" and I hurry to the counter and pay. "Kenzieeee" she says "Ik ik im such a good friend" I laugh. We sit down and eat our food. "Mmmh this is good" I speak taking a sip of my drink, "ikr" jasmine laughs. I get a strange sensation that someone was looking at me but I ignore it I can't be arsed with any more drama today. We finished and headed out I looked back and in the distance I saw a oddly familiar person sitting down staring at me. That's when I realized it was the boy I had a go at in school. I roll my eye and walk on .

** in the car**

"That was nice thanks for the hang out" I softly say to jas, "Yh it was but thank u for being my friend" she stuttered, "don't thank me I wanted to be your friend your cool, anyway I'll drive you home" I smiled at her. She nodded. 15 minutes later we got back to her house. "We are here" I said, "thanks kenz" she smiled and shut the door "I'll text u later" she shouted I laughed "ok" I shouted back. I drove back home I spent so long out that it was dark out even thought it was 8:25 . I sighed and got out of the car, I travelled to the boot and grabbed all my shopping bags, I can't wait to show mum what I got, every time I go shopping I always show her what I get , it's a bond. I lock the car and walk to the door , I unlock the door and push the it open.
