(BEHOLD! A PAINSTAKINGLY WRITTEN CHAPTER! THAT IS- ah shit, I'll shut up now :P)
The sun started to rise upon Mt. Ebbott. Everything was calm, but not for long. A strange rumbling came from the mountain, a cracking sound soon followed. No one knew that monsters, that were imprisoned underground long ago, had finally returned to the surface. Accompanied by two humans, six monsters watched the sunrise in awe. But their secret freedom was short lived. For in Jasper, Nevada, another species had detected their presance.
A red and white field medic Autobot gripped the edges of his table as he stared at the readings. On the table, stood the medic's charge, a fourteen year old girl. They both studied the screen that showed countless life forms that, all but two, definitely weren't human nor robot.
"Ratchet it could be animals" The girl stated in a raspy voice.
"I doubt it, Alex. No animal could survive in that mountain. Especially since its a volcano. Not active but there's still lava in there." The robot replied. Alex frowned in thought, narrowing her eyes in disbelief.
"I have another idea... but it's too far fetched. Besides, it's just a story. But it does go with the temors and the mountian." Alex said.
"Well at this moment I'm clearly open to any." Ratchet said simply.
Alex nodded and pulled out her phone. She typed furiously into a human search engine called Google. After a few minutes of retyping and scrolling, Alex finally found what she was looking for.
"The story of monsters and men." Alex began, "Long ago, two races ruled over the earth. Humans and monsters. One dsy, war broke out between the two. After a long battle, the humans reigned victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic barrier that only a human soul could pass. Many years later... it became Mt. Ebbott. Legend says that those who climb the mountain, never return." Alex finished with a spoopy tone in her voice.
"And what does this have to do with the mountain?" Ratchet asked
"Well, I remember in the news this... kid named Chara disappeared into the mountain. They were found when what people described as a "goat monster in clothing" came into a human village, carrying Chara's body. The humans attacked it and drove it away. It didn't even fight back. A year after, six kids went missing, different times, same mountain. They never returned. Another person, this time he/she was an adult, named (Y/N) (L/N) went missing while hiking up the mountain. Another kid named Frisk followed suit and poof! Gone." Alex stopped to take a breath. "What I'm trying to say is that I'm assuming that those two human life forms are (Y/N) and Frisk, seing as they were the last two to disappear. Now I'll make an educated guess that the other life forms are the so-called 'monsters'"
Ratchet listened to her and nodded thoughtfully. Alex's hypothesis was pretty far fetched as it got, but the story somehow tied up lose ends. It seemed like her idea was in fact possible.
"Well there's only one way to find out!" Ratchet stated before picking Alex up and setting her down. He locked the groundbridge coordinates onto Mt. Ebbott and activated it. He and Alex walked through it.
The first thing any of them saw was the sunrise. They both hid behind a large rock to avoid being seen. Alex poked her head out and gasped sofly. Standing not too far away, were actual monsters. But they weren't the creepy kind you'd have in your dreams. There was two goat monsters, a humanoid fish, a dinosaur, two skeletons, and two humans. One human wore a blue and purple striped sweater it was rather small but Alex realized that they were a kid. Maybe ten to twelve years old. The other human wore a grey pullover hoodie, jeans, and shoes. He/she looked about (y/a). The monsters were talking amongst themselves, but Alex couldn't hear their exact words. Suddenly thd group split up, going their different ways, each looking as happy as ever. Alex spotted a smaller skeleton in a blue hoodie head her direction.
"Sans wait up!" The older human called and ran after them.
Upon seing them rapidly approach, Alex sought to hide. She turned around to tell Ratchet something, but he was gone. Alex's breath quickened upon fear of discovery as she looked for Ratchet She had a bit of hope that she would find him before the monster found her. But that hope was killed as a male voice spoke.
"Human... don't you know it's rude to eavesdrop? Turn around and show yourself"
(Whooo boy! This took me a while. Sorry for the inactivity, I currently have no wifi. But hey I made a new chapter... at 3am. SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK! Anyways. I'm making a new book! It's called Ghostly Interractions and it's a Markiplier x ghost reader story. I'll publish the first few chapters when I finish the crappy cover and other stuff. Anyhoo-
