Ashton greeted me with just about the biggest bear hug I've ever received today. You'd think I was the one who ditched class last week the way he's acting.......
He put my books in his book bag, slung his arm across my shoulders, and we walked to class that way. I'm sure my face was the color of his car, but he seemed pretty pleased with himself. He doodled notes to me throughout the entire lecture, and drew little hearts on the back of my hand.
Cliché. Totally cliché.
He wouldn't let me ride the bus home, even when I told him I'd call Julie to pick me up. (I'm such a big, fat, liar) he insisted on driving me home, and even walked me up to my dorm. I can still feel the ghost of his hand on my arm.
Cliché. I'm sorry.
I worked a late shift tonight. Michael told me stories about his childhood to keep me awake while we restocked. He was a stupid kid. I mean, who jumps off the top of the playground with a cape on because they think they can fly?
Only Michael.
I think he might also be part chameleon. His hair went from that lovely shade of cherry red, to green.
