Waiting to update this story is positively torturous. It takes all my will power not to publish 10 chapters at once. Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter! Happy reading - Jess (:

I got called bright and early this morning by Ashton. He had decided to cache in on his promised date.
By bright and early, I mean 5 am.
I nearly cussed him out, but he promised me food if I came downstairs as soon as I possibly could.
My ass was downstairs in 3.5 seconds. No lie.
He took me to a little cafe around the block, and we had a grand time. We laughed about so many dumb things. Honestly, today was one of the better days I've had in a while. He offered to help me with homework, and I finally gave in. He has to see my dorm some day, right?
I gave him the tour of our one room dorm, (thank god Julie stayed the night at a friend's) and he seemed to enjoy it. I managed to tuck the Polaroid of him in my nightstand drawer before he had a chance to see it, thank God. That could be slightly weird. I showed him the fire escape, all my little plants, and the old tomcat. We sat out on the old rug with mugs of coffee and watched the sun rise slowly over the buildings while we got to know each other.
Maybe a bit cliché, but totally worth it, no matter how cold it was.
When we finished the coffee, we came inside and he helped me with my homework. He may very well be a literal genius. He works so quickly, and has the best approach at writing essays and solving difficult problems.
For lunch I make ramen noodles, (since that's basically the only food I can make without setting something on fire) and we sat on the couch discussing our favorite tv shows. His favorites are Friends and The Office.
Julie comes home and immediately comments on "my hot new boyfriend."
Ashton didn't seem to mind.
When all my homework was complete, Ashton said he had to jet. He told me he'd like to see the inside of my dorm again sometime.
I asked him if that was an innuendo.
He said that's up to me.
