The cab parked in front of the address to my shared house. It was ten minutes away from college, and very spacious from what I saw in pictures.

The driver helped me take my suitcase out, and stand it up. I dragged it towards the entrance, and unlocked the front door. I reluctantly walked inside, taking a deep breath. I heard footsteps coming my way, making my heartbeat accelerate.

Two girls showed up, both smiling politely, before one of them spoke.

"Are you (Y/N)?" the girl asked. She had blonde hair, and green eyes. There were light freckles scattered all over her face, and she wore a big hoodie with some sweatpants.

"Yes." I nodded.

"I'm Chloe. Welcome to our household." She extended her hand, and I reached for it, before shaking it.

"I'm Lily." The other girl stated, a big smile spread across her lips. She had long brown hair, down to her waist, and bright blue eyes, a colour similar to the deep blue ocean's.

"Let us show you where you're staying." Chloe gestured for me to follow her, and walked up the stairs. Lily helped me bring my suitcase upstairs, I could tell she too, struggled with it's weight.

We walked past many doors, until finding one at the end of the hallway.

"This is your room. That's the bathroom." Chloe pointed at the brown door, and pointed at another door, a few rooms away.

"Alright. Thank you." I smiled, and opened the door. We all walked inside, and I observed the room. It was enough. There was a bed in the centre, decorated in white sheets, and a desk with a chair. Beside it, was a closet, roomy enough for my clothes, and a night table. Inside the closet was a safe, and some coat hangers.

"So, dinner is in bit. Are you good with some takeout?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, yeah." I smiled, and sighed.

"Okay, we'll be downstairs if you're bored."

The girls left my room, and I took the chance to start unpacking. I took out my clothes, and put them in the drawers, and hung some up. My toiletries I kept with my self; I was still too shy to get completely comfortable in the house.

I changed into different clothes, and texted my mom.

You: Hey mom. Just wanted to let you know I'm all settled in the house. (7:34pm)

Mom: Okay 👍 Good luck on your first day of college on Monday!😘😘 (7:35pm)

I cringed at the amount of emojis she used. To me, it was insignificant. I switched my contacts to Sam. I texted him, asking if he was busy.

Sam: I'm on my way to my house. (7:41pm)

I smiled. The other day he told me he was going to the same college. It was such a pleasant coincidence, knowing how much time we were going to spend in the future. I put my phone in my pocket, and decided to go downstairs where the other girls hung out.

They were surfing through the channels, and shyly, I joined them.

"Oh hi, (Y/N)," Chloe smiled. Lily turned from the TV to me, and curled her lips into a smile.

"H-Hi." I replied.

"I hope you like Chinese takeout." Chloe commented. I nodded.

"I do.. Anyways.. what are you guys watching?"

"We're just going through the channels, there's nothing good on right now." Lily averted her gaze back to the TV, as she switched between channels.

"Quick question." I added. Both of the girls snapped their heads towards me, and my cheeks turned red. "Weren't we f-five in total?"

"Yeah, we are. The guys are coming for dinner. They went out to do something, I forgot what though."

I nodded, and went on my phone. It was so awkward for me, but the other girls already seemed friends before college. Every now and then they started a small conversation, in which I dryly replied in an unintentional manner.

The doorbell rang, and the girls went to get it. I awkwardly just sat there, watching them talk to the delivery man with boxes of food.

They set the food on the dining table, a little small wooden table, slightly tight for five people.

"Hey (Y/N), want to help set the table?" Lily asked. I nodded, that was a question you couldn't say no to. We took out the boxes from the bags, and put them in seats. Lily was mumbling to herself what belonged to who, and she passed me a box she'd thought I'd like; because I never told her what I wanted.

We all sat down, and silently ate.

A few minutes later, I heard keys jingling, coming from the main entrance. The sound of two boys came inside, laughing and talking, before the door closed and it was just footsteps and silence.

"Hey Chloe." A boy came to the dining room and sat beside me. "You're (Y/N)?"

I nodded, a small blush appearing on my face. He had brown messy hair, slightly looking like a quiff. His eyes were green, emerald and lime.

"I'm Noah."

"Noah, was Sam with you?" Lily asked. My eyes widened at the name, my heart fluttered, I felt hope that Sam might be living in the same house as I am.

"Nah, I was alone on the phone."

Sam?
