Camila's POV
Camila woke up from the short nap, she stretched her limbs out even further than before turning to the other side ignoring all the loud talking that was going on around her. She licked her dry lips as she could feel light striking on top of her arm that was going up and down, the feeling was soft and gentle which made her close her eyes wanting to go back asleep again. It's continuous pattern of circling around her arm made her fall asleep rather quickly, but the raspy voice kept waking her up. She leaned up, placing her finger onto the older girl's lips to shush her. "Hmph. Shut up, Lern." She groaned as she tried closing her eyes once again, but her finger got bit by the girl.
Lauren stared down at the smaller and grumpy girl that was stretched against her lap and the couch. Her eyes analyzing every detail about the girl, she rolled them. "Don't get grumpy with me." She stated, her tone sounded daring and threatening, but it was soft as well. She could practically imagine her rolling her eyes, but at the same time, she didn't like Camila being grumpy, but she had to admit that it was cute. Lauren smiled as she saw the brown eyes roll at her comment, she lightly cupped the girl's cheeks leaning her head upwards towards her lips where she placed a small kiss onto her forehead.
Camila blushed below her cheeks with a cheesy smile, her orbs sparkling from the gesture that meant so much to her. She sat up but quickly leaned against her body, her head up on her should while she placed one of her hands on Lauren's thigh and the other arm around her body. "Hmph." She let out a sigh as everyone kept small talking, but she enjoyed the affection that was being shown to her. The girl yawned, digging her head into Lauren's shoulder while continuing to listen to the small talk that the fathers held, the siblings continued about random TV shows, while the mothers complained about having to do house work. She puckered her lips out, kissing the girl's cheek while she whispered softly. "Lern, I'm bored." She muttered, as the girl adjusted her body and clothing before standing up.
"I know baby." She whispered back as she stood up grabbing her keys, "Me and Camila are going to go on a ride." She declared as her palm stuck out towards Camila's body, which roughly pulled her off the couch. A small smile was on Lauren's lips while the room kept talking, which would normally bother her, but Lauren couldn't help but to be glad. She knew Alejandro wouldn't agree with it, but since he was too busy talking, he wouldn't notice any of it. She pulled Camila with her body, going out of the living room where she entered the hallway going to the front door.
"Where are we going?" Camila muttered, as her eyes were still fairly blurry from sleeping. She looked around, the streetlights were a faded yellow, while others were sparkly white. Her voice was husky, as she got dragged outside towards the car that she knew Lauren probably loved more than her.
Lauren walked out, going down the stairs while taking Camila with her. "You'll see." She turned her head, revealing a devilish smirk as they reached the car. She opened the passenger door with her free hand.
Camila smiled, she was concerned about the smirk, she kissed Lauren's cheek before getting into the seat. She yawned as the door got shut, she really wanted to go back asleep, but she also wanted to go wherever she was. After a couple of seconds, she saw the girl get into the driver's seat. The scent of the car and her natural scent was overwhelming. One smelt like roses, while the other were like cherries, she took a deep inhale to take in the variety of events. "Sometimes, I don't want to breathe out, because the air cools my lungs." Camila stated as she sat up in the black leather seats.
Lauren smiled over at the girl before starting the engine. Her eyes analyzing her features while the engine roared out. "Breathing out keeps you alive. The price of life is better than the payment of death." She stated as she started to drive going only 45, since that was the speed limits. Although it was later in the night, she could've went much faster, but she also wanted to torture the girl by anticipation. She'd stop completely on yellow lights, slower her pace when she didn't have to, and take turns just to make the ride longer.
Camila tapped her foot, the music in the background was fading as she listened to the sounds of the night by rolling the window down. The fresh and new air rushed through the car, entering Camila's lungs making her relaxed and calm the anticipation. Her eyes glanced over at Lauren, "Didn't dad tell us not to be alone?" She asked softly.
Lauren nodded, as she slowed the pace down of the car as they were arriving near the location. A small smile was on her face, she didn't give an explanation about why she was breaking the rules, she just got out of the car.
Camila rolled her eyes as she got out, she went to the other side where Lauren stood. "Where is this?" She asked, she wasn't paying attention to the street signs, so she had no idea.
"Surfside Beach." She responded, she reached for Camila's hand, which they interlocked rather quickly. She had a smile tugging on her lips, as she slipped her shoes and socks off walking towards the beach. Lauren looked at the ocean waves that were swishing over the sand, she looked over at Camila. "Isn't it beautiful?" She asked, the stars were visible, something that you couldn't see due to the shining street lights, and smoke coming from the cars and engines, but the beach made the scenery perfect. The sound of waves crashing, the sound of crickets and frogs which were in the background, and yet all she could think about was Camila.
Camila's brown eyes looked into the mesmerizing green ones, then glanced off into the far horizon of the deep black sky that had small stars all over, the moon that was full which shined brightly. "It's beautiful, but not as beautiful as you." When she finished the sentence, a smile grew on her face when she saw Lauren have a light blush which made her giggle.
Lauren smile and bit her lip while they walked along the coast line, the feeling of the water came up onto their feet which relaxed them. "I think you're prettier than me." She smiled and laughed.
"Oh, just think? Really? Wowww. Love you too." Camila giggled while they walked, "I think, I'm prettier than you too. BUT. You're sexier than me. God, your intelligence can really make me regret not listening in third grade." She looked up at the green eyes that were staring into her sound. She could feel her cheek being cupped by one hand.
Lauren's palm cupped the girl's cheek. "I'm not going to disagree with that, but your goofiness makes you cuter and sexier than me." She smiled at the younger girl who stood only two inches below her, the smile widened as the girl softly hummed a familiar tune, before Camila's soft voice was heard.
"Write on me, give me wings and I'll fly." The girl's words were softly sung, and it sounded beautiful. A smile was plastered over her face. "Lift me uppp, Lern!" The words sounded like a demand, but the tone was playful and childish.
Lauren giggled lightly hearing the words, she couldn't help but to enjoy seeing the girl her usual self. Ever since Fifth Harmony split, Camila was always acting different. As if her voice was silenced. Lauren's eyes stared down into Camila's, her hands cupping the girl's cheeks leaning the younger girl's head towards her lips. Their lips connected moving in perfect harmony, Camila's mouth opening allowing the other girl's tongue to snake it's way in, her tongue swirling around fighting for dominance which deepened the kiss even further. They kept going until they ran out of oxygen, a smile widened on Camila while they were catching their breath which was running faster. "I-I guess that was better than a piggy back ride." She said slowly still trying to catch her breath with a bright smile. She traced her lips with her tongue reliving the moment. "I love you, Lern Jerky."
Lauren nodded as she kissed Camila's forehead with a light touch. "I love you too, Camz."
