chapter 5: A new mate

Percy POV

Argus our head security guard drove us to Manhattan. We took a bus after towards new jersey. That's when i remembered that we were going to meet Medusa. As we approached Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium i realized that Medusa used to be a beautiful maiden but got turned into a monster. So she wants revenge on the Olympians. So maybe i can recruit her for my army.

"so should we go in?" i said. "unless your too scared Percy"said Nick. "i am not"i claimed. As we got closer i could see the statues. "I love this. This is my first quest" screamed n.

"Hello children. come in. I will give you some food" said Medusa. As we ordered our food they got weird looks.

"Here you go dear". "thank you Aunty Em"said Annabeth. "why are you being so nice to us?"said Nick. "Because i rarely get any guests"said medusa. As we finish up Annabeth was so nervous. "Maybe we should go now" Annabeth said. "yeah whatever" i said. As we stand up Medusa comes up to us. "before you leave lets take a picture since i rarely get visitors". "ok" we all agreed.

She revealed herself. We all ran except for me. I was the Prince of the Universe so i was more powerful than Medusa's spell. She was shocked. "How?" she said in amazement. "To make this clear i am the son of the universe and since you want revenge on the Olympians then we have something in common.""wow"she said. "i am recruiting monsters and people and i want you to be part of my army. I can even reverse your powers". "i accept". And with that i flash her to my father planet.

"What did you to Medusa?"asked annabeth. "I reversed her spell". "Why did you do that. You know my mother will be mad at you and she will kill you. Medusa deservers her punishm-". I cut her off right there. "No. Medusa was innocent. Your mother was the liar." "IMPOSSIBLE" said annabeth. "Medusa was a innocent maiden. She caught Poseidon attention and they maked up. Athena was jealous that she got her uncles attention. So she cursed her. Your mother is the Liar!" I screamed at her. "Oh..". And with that she was silent all the way to the Mississippi.

We went through a lot of other easy monsters which i sended to my fathers planet to help in the war.

As we get close to the arch in Mississippi Nick keeps trying to flirt with Annabeth but keeps failing.

"Lets check the museum maybe it has some cool stuff inside"said nick.

"Ok" we all agreed.

We walk inside and i knew we were going to meet the queen of all monsters with her chimera. "Wow this stuff is really cool. The architecture is really good and nice. But the architect should i placed more marble columns to make the support stronger and last longet" said annabeth.

"Are you kidding me. You and your nerdy architecture!" I said.

"Let's go that elavater on the arch" Nick said.

"We had to anyways". They gave me confusing looks. I was laughing and they thought i was being weird.

As we get on the elavater Echidna enters With her dog. "Awww your dog is so cute" said annabeth. "Thank you dear" said Echidna. "What type of dog is that?" Said Nick. "A chihuahua". "Oh". As we continue to rise up all the way to the top, the elavater stops. "Wow! Really nice view" I said. "Something feels weird" Echidna said. "I dont see anything fishy" said annabeth. I knew what was about to happen. So i just stepped aside and watched the show. The chihuahua became a 3 foot chimera with big fangs and bat-like wings. Echidna became her true self and headed toward nick. Nick got his sword and started fighting. I needed Echidna as my allie so i didn't interfere. "DO SOMETHING" said annabeth. Thats when the fog spitted out greek fire on Nick. The only way to get it out was to jump in the Mississippi river. "Hey kid why don't you jump in the river for you to not die" i said.
