The Girl of Prophecy

Prologue

Ariel's POV

"Welcome back Ms.Reese. You're family is expecting your arrival." said a man in a clean cut suit.

"Thank you Anthony. It feels good to be back home but I'm not really looking forward to meeting my family after years of staying abroad." I said.

"I understand little miss. However, we cannot delay the inevitable. One way or another you are obligated to return home as you turn 18 little miss." Anthony said. "I know." I sighed as we were on our way to a black limousine. Once seated, I sighed and just looked out the window, reminiscing the past. Oh! BTW, how rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is Ariel Alex Reese, 7th daughter of Cheryl and Anastasia Reese. I'm 18 and I'm the youngest among my siblings. Right now, I am on my way home after being away for 13 years to study abroad. I do visit my family once every 5 years but even then I spend all my time with my aunt and uncle.

You see, I'm not really excited to come home mainly because my siblings are jealous of me and my parents pretend to love me but in reality they're just hiding the fact that they regret having me. Why? Well, it goes like this. So, pay attention.

In this world, we are divided into 2 dimensions. The human dimension and the supernatural dimension. If you think this is some cliche stuff where humans have no idea about the supernatural world, you're wrong. The humans know we exists. They are even allowed to visit our world through portals located in certain places and vice verse. I, specifically, am from the supernatural world. Not only that, I am also royalty. In the supernatural world, we have many realms. In my realm known as Mystic Realm there are many kingdoms ranked in power and superiority. The top 10 royal families are part of something called the ROYAL UNION and the head of these families make up the board members of this union. Guess what? My family is number 7 in the ranking. This is also a reason why I am not excited to come home.

There was a prophecy our ancestors left for us. It goes something like this.

"There will come a day when the 7th family of the UNION births a 7th daughter who will be the youngest of her sibling but the most important royal. She will bring out both the good and the bad of the world. She shall also possess and inherit the legendary powers of all the ancestors who created Mystic Realm."

This was only part of the prophecy. The ROYAL UNION were thrilled about the news of my birth however they were also worried about the bad part of my existence. Growing up was difficult. My parents didn't teach me how to use my own powers for the fear that I might be stronger than them and hurt them. They didn't even teach me how to heal myself with my healing ability that ALL supernatural possess. My own siblings bullied me because they were jealous I was born special. Other UNION kids also bullied me especially the popular ones. And that ladies and gentlemen is why I left home. I left home at the age of 5 studying in the shadow realm in a school known as the Shadow Academy. The school is specifically only for shadow kids and only specially selected students of other realms. The age to be enrolled is 7 however I was offered enrolment at the age of 5. Ever since then, I never looked back. My aunt and uncle who were the head of the 6th strongest family were the only people that truly cared about me. When I told them I was being bullied, they believed me and healed my bruises and scars unlike my parents where they tell me I'm just making stuff up. My aunt and uncle were the ones who convinced my parents to let me study abroad despite their begging and pleading for me NOT to go with claims that they love me dearly and that they would miss me. However, I never believe a single word because I know they just want me unable to learn how to use my abilities. Well, too bad for them, I have learned majority of my powers at Shadow Academy.

However, the biggest reason I refused to come home is because my ex-girlfriend is there. Her name is Haley Raven Nightshade, eldest daughter of the head rulers of Mystic Realm. We started dating when I was 16 and she was 18. However, we broke up after a year of dating because I saw her kissing my older sister, Jules who is the 5th born of our family. The story went like this, I met Haley for the first time when she came to visit the academy. At that time, I avoided her because she was one of the popular kids that bullied me. However, after spending time with her I actually started to like her and she said she liked me too and that she wants to go out with me. I agreed and from then we formed a special relationship. The royals back home knew I was dating her which made some of the kids hate me more while others started to befriend me. On Haley's 19th birthday, I actually couldn't make it due to a mission I had. But the mission ended early so I thought I would surprise visit Haley for her birthday. I knew that the ROYAL UNION was celebrating her birthday at Royal Prep Academy where all royals got to school. When I got there, I was devastated because the first thing I saw as I entered the dining hall was my sister sitting on MY GIRLFRIEND'S lap making out with her. When Haley saw me she tried to explain herself but I just left and never look back. Now a year later I am back at Mystic Realm on my way to Royal Prep where everyone is waiting.
