I Love You

Jungkook has always thought how cruel the heavens had been to him.

He was merely five when his father had died in a car accident. His mother had gone mad because of her loss of her loved one and eventually she had committed suicide, leaving Jungkook alone.

He had to go to his aunt's place who didn't even care one bit about him. She did give him his needs to be able to live, but she couldn't give him any kind of emotional support throughout his childhood, letting him grow as an emotionless child who was scarred for his whole life.

His aunt then died from diabetes when he had started highschool. He didn't even feel any remorse to her death as he never felt anything towards his cold aunt who just simply thought of him as a burden.

He had started his university after working part-time jobs for his school tuition. Even so, he still didn't know how to feel as he shut people out. He didn't have friends even back then. He just couldn't bring himself to mingle with other people because he couldn't feel.

Until he met this overly expressive kid named Kim Taehyung.

That guy just skipped up to him and gave him a big smile that was blinding enough to put the sun to shame. He greeted him enthusiastically. Jungkook simply didn't know why this person went the trouble to mingle himself with a person like him who didn't have any worth at all.

He pestered him every single day even if Jungkook only brushed his advances off every single time. Even so, he was still dragged along with his little group of friends which were also unusual but friendly and kind.

Jungkook felt foreign from the warmth that those people had gave him. He had been scared of that foreign feeling that he had ran away from the person who was the reason for all of those foreign feelings, Taehyung himself.

One day, Taehyung had stopped pestering him. There wasn't a single shadow of him. Jungkook thought that he was thankful that Taehyung stopped. But it had bothered him deeply as it had become normal for him to have the bubbly ball of sunshine to start his day.

Even if he didn't want to, he found himself facing Taehyung's friends. They were surprised that Jungkook decided to speak to them because Jungkook was usually elusive and always distanced himself from them.

Jungkook learned that day that Taehyung actually has a frail heart since he was a child. He would sometimes have triggers that will make him go into a critical state that he will have to stay in the hospital. But Taehyung was an optimistic kid that he believes he will be better.

Jungkook had many thoughts after he had heard that.

He spent a week without Taehyung and he had realized how much space he had taken up in Jungkook's heart. Jungkook's life changed ever since Taehyung came tumbling into his life.

The day Taehyung had come back, Jungkook's treatment to him has changed. He had started striking up a conversation with him that made Taehyung beam at him every single time. Jungkook let himself become close to Taehyung's friends. He had finally opened up to them.

Jungkook and Taehyung had become unbelievably close that they somehow became synchronized with each other that their friends always pointed out for them. Jungkook honestly thought the same. Taehyung had become someone that he wants to cherish for his whole life. Taehyung made him feel alive despite his past. Taehyung was the final piece he had been searching for the past years.

Finally, in a Friday afternoon, Jungkook had decided to confess his unbearable feelings of love for Taehyung. Taehyung even cried in happiness because he had also felt the same for Jungkook.
