J-Hope offered to walk Siwoo home but she said no to him. He kept on insisting by saying that she have huge amount of money. People could rob her on her way home. Or a stranger who kidnap young girl like her before he rape her. Or maybe a road accident.
After some logic and illogical reasons, she allowed him to walk with her.
"Hey, I just want to thank you for today. You and your friends help me a lot. I should buy you guys a meal in future." She thanked him.
J-Hope turned to her, "Why don't you make us a meal?" he asked her. "Is that how you want to bully me?" She asked him. "Maybe." He answered and she snorted.
They arrived at the usual convenient store.
"This should be enough. I can walk on my own now." Siwoo told him. "No. I said I'm going to walk you home but this isn't you home. So which way is your home?" he move forward but she quickly grabbed onto his jacket. "Woah mister, where do you think you're going?" she narrowed her eyes at him. "Your house." He answered innocently.
She shook her head, "That's a no." "A yes for me." J-Hope argued with her. After arguing for a moment, Siwoo crossed her arms, "You don't like losing huh?" "I always win." He smirked.
"Okay but you promise to leave once I reach home okay?" Siwoo made him promise. He showed her his pinky, "Promise."
She sighed, "Let's go." J-Hope smiled widely.
After walking for a while and a few corners, Siwoo spoke, "We almost there. Remember your promise." "Yes, ma'am." J-Hope nodded.
Siwoo stopped right in front of an old looking house. It has rusty, broken steel gate. Termites had eaten some part of the wooden door and there are few holes on the glass window.
"You live here?" J-Hope asked. Siwoo nodded, "Pretty pathetic huh? This is what I call fate." She smiled halfheartedly.
"Now you saw my house, you should probably leave." Siwoo kind of chase him away. "Erghh, s-sure." J-Hope said. "You won't tell others right?" she looked at him. "If that's what you want, I will keep my mouth shut." J-Hope pretended to zip his mouth.
She smiled, "Thank you."
J-Hope's eyes were rounded. "I-I should leave. Bye!" he left hurriedly.
She went into her house, "Appa, I'm home!"
J-Hope shut the door to his room and leaned against it.
Siwoo smiled at him, "Thank you."
He placed his hand on top of his fast beating heart, "That was the most genuine smile from her."
He asked himself, *what is this feeling that I feel right now?*
"And her house just now....." the image of Siwoo's house came across his mind. "How can a girl live in that house?"
J-Hope snapped his fingers, "I got it."
He ran out from his room and went to his mother. "Mom!!"
She looked up and smiled widely, "Uh, Hoseok-ah, what's wrong?" she looked at him. "Mom, you once told me that I can use the credit card you gave remember?" he asked her and she nodded.
"Do you really mean it? Can I really use it?" he asked her again. She nodded eagerly, "We still have a lot for you. So just buy what you want with that card." She told her.
"Mom, thanks!" he hugged her before he went back into his room.
She frowned, *he's never been that happy before. He must really need the money.*
The next evening, they went together to the café for their part time job. And as usual, most of the customers that day were females.
They closed a little bit late compare to yesterday. Kang Byeol thanked them for their hard work and handed their pay.
"Siwoo can have it." Suga told Kang Byeol.
"No. Not today! We have to split the money equally." Siwoo took the money and started to divide them into eight parts.
She looked at them, "Now each of you, take one." She said but nobody move. Kang Byeol chuckled, "I know this type of person. You know, she won't give up until you take the money." She said and Siwoo nodded.
V sighed, "If we take the money, will you promise us that you'll take everything tomorrow?" he asked her. "Of course no." she shook her head. "Then we won't take it." Jin said.
"Okay, why don't you do this, everyone take their share today. Tomorrow Siwoo will take everything and the day after everyone will take their share and so on?" Kang Byeol suggested.
"Deal!" the boys said. Siwoo sighed, "Okay, fine. I don't want to argue with the boys anymore." She said in defeat.
Before they all went home, Rap Mon suddenly reminded them of something. "Yah, Siwoo" he called her. "What?" she looked at her with an annoyed look.
"Give me your phone number." He took out his phone. "Yeah. Your number." Jungkook took out his phone as well.
Siwoo sighed, "Sorry guys but I don't use phone for the time being."
"What?" Jungkook said in disappointment. "Why not? Did someone disturb you?" Jimin asked.
She shook her head, "I dropped it as I was hurrying to the hospital because of appa the other day. It's not functioning anymore. I send it to a shop to get it fix but the person told me that I should just get a new one. He couldn't fix it."
"Maybe I buy one later." She told them. "Don't worry. I will tell you guys if I have one, okay?" she smiled at them.
"Woah, nuna! You smiled!" Jungkook was smiling widely.
"So?"
"That is so not like you." Suga told her. "Come on. It's normal for people to smile." Siwoo looked at them. "Yeah, but you didn't like to smile." V added.
"See? You should smile a lot, Siwoo." J-Hope ruffled her hair.
