Bryce's POV:

The water was deep and got cold several times and I continued to swim with Jaden close and tight to me. He'd get frightened once in a while but I kept telling him that , as long as I was here he'll be safe. Which I'm not leaving him so he always will be.

After possibly miles , I saw a cruise ship and a really big one too. I would try swimming towards it as fast as I could but I was with Jaden and like I've said before, he's smaller than an average three year old. As I kept swimming the ship got closer and people screamed from above.

" Do you need help!!? " A lady yelled loudly

" Please!! Me and my son have been stuck out here for hours. Please help us!! " I yelled back looking at Jaden

A few minutes later lifeguards came to us both on a boat. I put Jaden in first then got in second , still holding Jaden close to me.

" Daddy are we swafe " I nodded

" Yes son we are swafe " He chuckled noticing me mocking him

" Where did you come from? " Jaden looked at me then I breathed out

" I can't explain right now okay? When we get on the ship, I'll answer whatever questions. " They nodded then got us off the boat into the lobby

" Let the news and police know about these two please. Tell them we're docking early tomorrow, 2 am . " What looked like the owner of the ship walked up to us

" Hello I'm Colonel , the owner of this fine endearing cruise ship. Let's take a walk shall we? " He looked at us both

" Uh yeah, sure. Okay " We started walking

" Where did you and your adorable son come from? " I breathed out

" A submarine...My name is Bryce Mallette. My dad's in the Marine Corps. My dad's close friend is Brett McCann. Jason and I got into an argument back in the submarine so I took our son and went out swimming to wherever. I couldn't be away from home anymore I just couldn't. Never could. " He nodded breathing out while thinking

" We have to contact the nearest Navy base, until then I'll show you and your son to a nice , and biggest master suite. This is on the house and we will bring up some fresh clothes " Jaden smiled then Colonel showed us to the room

" Thank you for this, I will give you the money as soon as my son and I reach home. " He shook his head

"That wouldn't be necessary sir , at all. Just let me pay you back and if not half okay?" Colonel continued to shake his head

" No son , hey buddy. You hungry? " Jaden nodded

" Chwicken pwease!! " I chuckled at Jaden

" Chwicken? "

" Chicken, he wants chicken. He doesn't speak proper English. " Jaden got down and tried jumping up onto the bed

" He'll learn soon. I'll put an order of a buffet table in your suite, and contact the navy and medias. The clothes are in the bathroom. Enjoy your stay " Colonel walked out
