"Your parents are coming to take you back home today." Hussaina reminded in a happy, yet sad tone. They were already very used to Manal. She was more of a sibling to them than a cousin. Her presence would no doubt be missed a lot. "They must already be nearby."
"Do you really have to go?" Hassana sulked.
"Please don't go, Manal." Faisal beseeched at the verge of tears.
"To be honest..." She trailed off, her gaze traveling from one person to the other. "I don't want to go back home anymore." She lowered her gaze afterwards.
"Then don't." Faisal was quick to remark.
"You can tell your Ummi to allow you stay longer." Hassana added.
"No. Forever." Faisal countered.
"That's never going to happen." Hussaina intervened. "I'm sure her parents miss her a lot as well. They will never agree to that."
"Yes." Manal nodded in affirmation at her last sentence. "Besides, ummi never listens to whatever I say."
"I have a plan." Faisal suddenly squealed.
Hussaina rolled her eyes, while Manal and Hassana showed interest in what he said.
"What plan?" Hassana inquired inquisitively.
"What's the plan?" Manal asked, just as curious.
"Let's hide Manal in a box, so when uncle and aunt comes, we will tell them we have no idea where she disappeared to." He grinned, mentally patting himself on the back for the clever idea he came up with.
Hussaina face palmed. "That's a stupid idea, Faisal." She remarked, breaking all of his bubbles.
"At least he thought of something." Hassana retorted.
"Yes. He did think of a senseless plan." Hussaina rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. He's still better than yo-"
"Please stop fighting." Manal pleaded, cutting Hassana off. She despised seeing then argue - a newfound habit of theirs - especially if was because of her.
"I'm going to tell ummi." Faisal was about to run out of the room, but Manal was quick to stop him, by grabbing his hand.
"See, they aren't fighting anymore. Just let it go."
Hesitantly, he obliged and sat back down.
Hussaina went into the closet and dragged Manal's box out. Singlehandedly, she had helped her pack her stuff the previous night. "Dad said he's going to buy us a cellphone once we're ten. Don't worry, I'm always going to call you, okay?"
"Me too." Hassana chipped in.
Manal hummed in response.

Hearing the sound of the doorbell ringing, Manal's heartbeat skyrocketed. They were already at the house! Her palms suddenly became sweaty. She also didn't know why she was feeling so much nervousness all of a sudden. Hassana's words triggered the feeling.
"I think they are already here!" She exclaimed.
"Let's go meet them." Hussaina suggested.
"No." Manal declined. "I don't want to."
