The crisp sea breeze catches the fur of Molly Cunningham, a young honey colored bear, as she leans over the edge of a small, well-traveled boat. Her floral printed scarf, which has been tied into a vest over her acid washed over-alls catches her mother, Rebecca in the face as she worriedly pulls the pre-teen back over the edge of the boat for the hundred time on the trip. Molly sees something in the water just before she is pulled back. As her mother goes to take a seat again, Molly runs to the other side of the ship to follow the object. A huge shadow is seen below the surface of the water passing the boat. Molly rushes to the edge of the boat looking out into the surf just as the long, spindly shadow disappears quickly.

"What was that?" Molly asks leaning down again, catching the ire of her mother.

"Probably just an ash cloud this whole area is blanketed with underwater volcanoes," the youngest crewman answered, a lean(ish) pink spotted pig named Kai.

"Is it safe to be sailing here then?" Rebecca asks, tucking her feet up under her in her chair.

"Nearly the whole ocean floor has some kind of volcanic activity happening it's fine mom," Molly answers.

Molly looks back at Kai again doubtfully.

"Hey so... that didn't move like an ash cloud though. It was going against the current," Molly insists.

"In that case, you probably saw the shadow of Alika," answered Captain Davey, a large black pig.

"Not this again old timer," Kai said with a sigh.

"Who is Alika?" Molly asked, turning away from the water.

"Not a who little sister a monster...," Captain Davey said, leaning over heavily onto on arm. "The Alika serpent is a colossal two headed eel that stalks the waters around the island chain it comes out only at night its black scales hiding its presence in the water until you see four orange eye glowing under the water."

"Why?"

"I like to think he is the protector of the cape keeping other predators out and swallowing up the ships of those who would come to harm the harmony of the islands," Davey answered sitting back up and looking out across the surf mysteriously.

"No," Molly said with a frown, drawing Davey's attention back to the little bear. "I meant why would he be out right now in the middle of the day you said he is nocturnal like most other eels?"

A ripple of laughter rings through the porky crew as Davey sits sputtering trying to think of an answer.

"She's got ya there captain!" Kai says, slapping the older pig on the back.

"Wrap up the fairytale you two, we are coming up on Baboy Bay," calls the navigator from the back.

The island of Baboy Bay can be seen coming into view at the front of the boat. The shoreline them is packed with activity and shining metal. Around the busy harbor men in suits are walking around and very modern, luxurious buildings are being built. Molly rushes to the edge again to get a better view. Rebecca follows behind, putting an arm around Molly's shoulder.

"I think we are going to fit into Cape Suzette just fine Molly," Rebecca says with a smile.

"That's not Cape Suzette cousin," Davy says.

"Huh? You just said this was Baboy Bay."

"Yeah, but this is Khan's side of the island. All the boaters around here know to hold their breath as they sail pass it like when you walk past a cemetery," Kai answered before sucking in a deep breath and puffing out his cheeks.

Around them some of the crew spits into the water at the sound of Khan's name

"Why?" Molly asks.

"Hmm? Oh it's an old superstation about respecting the dead or something," Rebecca says looking down at her phone.

"Who died?"

"Our island little sister. He's killing it and our way of life," Captain Davey answers, taking off his straw hat and putting it over his chest.

As the boat passes by the side of the island and the shining shore is out of view, the line of progress can be easily seen like a scar on the land. Stumps from trees and bare land lay cut against the thick, natural tropical setting that divides that island. Molly looks on in horror but Rebecca is already buried in her phone again, always working.

"From what I understand Mr. Khan has been prioritizing exports from the island and revitalizing the tourism which doesn't sound so bad to me," Rebecca comments.

Captain Davey shakes his head, making his jowls jiggle for a moment even when his head had stopped moving. "Mainlanders," he mutters under his breath "Where did you say you were from again?

"I'm a representative from Duckburg Community Holdings and Property Management," Rebecca answers in a polite, practiced voice.

"Corporate gal that figures," Davey says.

Kai walks up to Molly, who is still leaned against the banister and nudges her with his elbow. "There ya go little sister. Now we are coming up on Cape Suzette."

The boat starts heading into the cape, passing through some rock formations. Under the water sunken planes can been seen in the crystal clear water. The boat is heading for the show which is sparsely built upon with little huts and still very lush with greenery. The boat passes by a giant mangrove tree with a walkway leading up to a wraparound patio and a little sign that read's Louie's place.

The inside of Louie's place is full of the regulars and natives. Kit, a young brown bear in a vintage pilot's jacket with a red banana tied around his wrist, is sitting in a booth near the bar with his feet up on a chair. Baloo, an older grey bear in his usual stained orange shirt and pilot's hat, is leaning over the bar laughing with the king of orangutans himself, Louie. Beside them Penn, the ever present black, potbellied pig, sits in his unspoken reserved spot. Something catches Penn's attention out the window as he lifts his thick, furrowed brow to get a better view.

"Hey uhh... Baloo your house is floating away," Penn says tapping Baloo's shoulder to get his attention.

"Oh really?" Baloo says with a laugh. "Well Penn, I think you have had enough for today but if the room starts spinning just put one foot down on the floor there buddy."

Louie leans over the bar and cranes his neck to look out one of the large bay windows that look out over the bay, "No Baloo he is right. Someone is towing your houseboat."

Many of the patrons can be seen lifting up out of their chair and rubbernecking to look out the windows. Behind the counter Louie lifts up onto the bar with his hands and continues to clean a glass with his feet while Kit is standing on a chair to look up above everyone else. Baloo however is not bothered by it, not even lifting up out of his chair to look.

"Ehhh ...they can have it then there isn't anything in there that's important it's all replaceable."

"Baloo," Kit calls trying to get his attention.

"Relax little britches what you have to learn is that it is all material."

"Yeah but Baloo-"

"Everything that is most important to me is right here in this room. You and Louie and –"

"Baloo! They are towing the plane too," Kit says as he runs out the door.

Baloo jumps up from his seat now too, spitting his drink out to coat Louie's counter with a fine orange mist.

"My baby!"
