Insanity

Father...

Myungsoo's eyes are resting once again. His lips are quivering in his sleep. His hands are shaking quite vigorously as a side effect of his medication. His heart rate is normal and his hair is ruffled. The doctor removes his mask and his gloves slowly and puts them on the cart next to Myungsoo's bed. Sunggyu sighs and gazed down at Myungsoo. He pulls up the chair Woohyun once sat in and sat next to Myungsoo for a minute. He shows no emotion, as he places his hand on top of Myungsoo's. His hands are warm; almost sweaty. He takes a deep sigh and this is enough for Myungsoo to begin to awaken from his slumber.

Meanwhile, Woohyun has halted on his journey home. He couldn't get the image of the doctor out of his head. It was really baffling him now. He sat down on a bench outside the hospital and thinks. His feet are rapidly tapping and he is twiddling his fingers. He tries desperately to put everything together. He takes several heavy, deep breaths and growls quietly but aggressively; the frustration he feels is clearly apparent to those around him. He lies down on the bench and closes his eyes, determined to understand this feeling he feels. He knows he's seen those eyes before.. he is just unsure about where and when...

Back in the hospital room, Myungsoo has now awoken and noticed a blurry silhouette sitting next to him. Myungsoo blinks several times, trying to focus on the person sat next to him. He has a ray of sunshine in his clouded mind, thinking it's the love of his life, back once again! Myungsoo can't help but feel happy at the thought of Woohyun returning to be with him. 'Woohyun..?' Myungsoo mumbles, regaining his strength.

After a few seconds his vision returns to focus... he is heartbroken to see that it is not Woohyun sitting by his side. He sees red hair, and some intimidating eyes glaring at him. He squints his eyes and blinks several times, a feeling of confusion runs through his body. He slowly removes his mask, and takes a few seconds to return to reality once again. An uneasy feeling runs through his stomach; he begins to sweat with nervousness... where has he seen this man before...?

'W-who... are you? You aren't one of my doctors...?' Myungsoo finally manages to say, bringing the words up from the bottom of his stomach. The doctor remains emotionless for a few seconds before releasing a small, ominous chuckle.

'I'm Sunggyu. Do you not recognise me?' Sunggyu raises an eyebrow and flares at myungsoo; his cold eyes send shudders through Myungsoo's body. All is quiet. Suddenly, Myungsoo's head begins to hurt.. his swearing increases and he fells physically sick and dizzy... flashbacks are running through his mind... appearing and disappearing with a flash...

The rain... The graveyard... Woohyun... fighting... Myungsoo's... father...

Myungsoo begins to breath rapidly and heavily. He builds all his strength to move as far away from him as possible. His heart is racing and his eyes begin to water and sting.... after a few moments, Sunggyu speaks once again...

I will give you the peace you've been searching  for your whole life... Right. Now.'

Sunggyu prepares the syringe with clear liquid. All is quiet and tense. After a few seconds of hearing this... Myungsoo finally manages to string a sentence together...

'You're... you're my... father..?' Myungsoo asks in disbelief. Sunggyu stops what he's doing and sits down once again by Myungsoo, holding Myungsoo's hand in his gloved hands. Sunggyu gazes and Myungsoo and sighs.

'Yeah.. I am.... But...' Sunggyu grips Myungsoo's hand tighter, with an almost angry tone.  'I didn't plan it. She didn't love me. She only loved you. You. You. And only you. That angered me. Angered me to the point that...' Sunggyu's time becomes increasingly frustrated and angry. Myungsoo is scared; he needs Woohyun by his side now more than ever before. He was worried what Sunggyu would do.. now Myungsoo knows the truth...

After a while of pacing, Woohyun stops for a second and calms himself down. He regains his focus and thinks.. for his and Myungsoo's sake.. Those eyes... that glare. Suddenly, it hit him... the cause for his and Myungsoo's pain... the reason Myungsoo has been unhappy all these years... the cause of all their suffering... Woohyun inhales sharply; struggling for breath. 'Oh no...' His body is now filled with adrenaline, as he rushes back to the hospital, knowing him and Myungsoo will interact... which is the one thing he promised Myungsoo he would prevent. He begins his race back to the hospital, praying that he's not too late...

Meanwhile, Myungsoo is feeling heartbroken and destroyed at what he's hearing... 'So... my mother's death... wasn't.. a suicide...?' Sunggyu chuckles ominously and adds a sarcastic tone to his voice. 'Wait. You actually thought she took her own life after having you, her little bundle of joy? Her HAPPINESS. HER PRECIOUS BABY?' YOU THOUGHT SHE TOOK HER OWN LIFE WHEN SHE HAD YOU TO LIVE FOR?' Sunggyu pauses for a second and then burst out into a evil cackle; Myungsoo is angry and distraught about what he's hearing... but he needs to keep his cool to learn the truth... he turns away from Sunggyu and looks down, trying to connect the pieces of this jigsaw.

So... if she didn't take her own life... then...' Myungsoo ponders for a second. Suddenly, it hits him. He hesitantly turns back to Sunggyu; anger is bulging up in his body. He clenches his fists tightly and his breathing is shallow. His heart monitor is picking up the palpitations he's experiencing, sending the monitor into emergency mode. Myungsoo holds back his warm tears as he once again looks into Sunggyu's cold eyes. He takes a few seconds to understand what he's just realised... he can't let Sunggyu see him so weak... so he manages to pull himself together; despite being destroyed on the inside with the truth...

'That's right.' Sunggyu says; no emotion is his face is shown at all, not even a hint of sorrow or regret for what happened. 'She deserved everything she got. And now.. you're gonna get the exact SAME.' Sunggyu raises the syringe up above his head, ready to insert into Myungsoo's pipe connected to his arm. Myungsoo closes his eyes and turns away from Sunggyu; not being able to look at him with fear and devastation; hoping Woohyun will save him... 'NO! No, please don't do this!'

His screams echo through the empty hospital corridors, and gradually fades to a stop...
