I sat in the front seat admiring the bright lights of the beautiful city.
"Maddi! Are you even listening," my twin sister laughed.
"What?" I said clueless.
She started laughing and I did as well. Jazz songs played softly in the background as our laughter died down Megan's face scrunched up in disgust. "Let's change the music," she looked down and began to fiddle through the different CD's
"Meg! Watch out!" I yelled. She looked to her left and noticed the truck . her eyes widened as I was temporarily blind from the headlights. Boom!
I shot up breathing heavily. It was just a dream I thought. Just a dream. I rubbed my eyes and yawed. I barely got sleep last night.
You might be wondering what happened after the kiss, the magical kiss that weaken my knees, the kiss that sent shocks through my body. Well I ran inside and locked the door before he could say a word. I obviously shut my curtains and window so he wouldn't try to say anything(not like he would)
I honestly didn't know how I felt, happy? Mad? Sad? I just don't know. He took my first kiss I should be upset right? But why am I not? Probably because you liked it. What? No. Shut up subconscious.
I lazily got out of bed and slid out of my short shorts, I through on some sweats and a sweater. And put my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed my glasses and backpack and went downstairs.
"Hey mom," I mumbled grabbing an apple.
"Good morning sweetie," she cheered. I don't know how she can be so cheerful in the morning, but the woman does not seise to amaze me.
"I'm leaving," I gave a small lazy wave and walked out the door. She mumbled something about not being home when school is over but when is she?
I clutched my sweater tightly around my waist and began to walk. I was still confused about what I was supposed to do. I have officially fallen for the school quarterback. What was a "nerdy" girl supposed to do in my situation? Meagan would of known what to do in my situation. She was always good at this stuff. God I miss her.
I kept walking taking in my surroundings as I took deep breathes. The cold lifeless wind blowing softly, the skies were gray and filled with clouds, though the surroundings leave me breathless till this day.
"Madison?" I heard a low husky voice call. "Maddi!"
I turned to face the direction of the sudden voice.
"Yeah?"
"We need to talk," he said.
"No we really don't," I said turned around and walking.
"Wait up," he called catching up to my quickened pace.
"What Ron," I said firmly. I barley knew the guy why does he insist to talk to me? I mentally groaned.
"I was drunk, I just wanted to apologize for my actions last night, sometimes I say stuff that isn't my business," he said looking down in shame.
"Its okay no harm done, alright?"
"Thanks, can I walk with you?"
"Sure why not"
We began walking to school. Although he wouldn't stop talking about some crazy chick that he screwed that is stocking him, it wasn't that bad. Ron seemed like a pretty decent guy.
But one question was lingering in my head, what was a I supposed to do when I saw Luke?

I sat in the empty library typing my essay on my laptop. It was lunch time and the library was completely empty. That was until the doors opened from across the library and there was a determined looking Luke at the door. Shoot.
I acted calm and nerdy. Maybe he needs a book? Yeah there's no way he's here for me.
All day have been completely dodging Luke. I let out a sigh before typing a few more sentences. What am I supposed to do? I have fallen for the quarterback of the football team. The fricken star quarterback!! Every girl loves him so what makes me special. Nothing.
As I was distracted in my own thoughts I didn't even realize that Luke was sitting right across from me starring at me with determination just like the expression he came in with.
"You've been avoiding me," he stated. Before I could say anything to deny the truth he interrupted "look, I'm sorry for last night its just I don't know. Your different"
"Listen, its fine. This friendship thing is done. I'm not really into the whole drama and stuff. I stick to two best friends and that's it for me. So just uh leave me alone," I said standing up collecting my stuff.
"Why? Why do you push people away. I like you Maddi!" He said standing to reach my eye level.
My face dropped, I do push people away. I don't want to loose anyone I love ever again. It hurts.
"Sorry" I walked off through the wide doors of the library.
What the hell did I just do?
